This is true, you can upshift (in the game) without having any need to even lift, at any engine rev.. with no arms to the transmission. Would be great to have it more accurate.
I don't think the game include cars that are H-pattern and don't have Dogbox gearbox. R3E doesn't have street car ...
Did not want to open a new topic and I found this one (though not really an auto clutch issue)... I have been racing the NSU this afternoon (using H-pattern shifter, clutch, no auto-clutch, damage on, get real etc...) I missed so many gears while upshifting (downshift with or without heel/toe was always OK). Even when shifting really slow (and I mean REALLY SLOW), the gears sometimes refused to engage. I have been playing with pedal sensitivity to no avail. Pedals (Heusinkveld Pro) are calibrated perfectly and work perfectly in any other sim, so is the shifter (Fanatec SQ V 1.5) I noticed the missed gears last week in other H-pattern cars too (don't remember which ones). So, why is the upshift (mostly 3rd and 4th gear in the NSU) not working properly ? (BTW, before someone asks if I can stick shift: I have been driving H-pattern cars since I started driving 47 years ago.)
Do you have h-shift enabled in the advanced settings of the controller options? H shifting works fine for me in the NSU. Just raced like that a few days ago at Karlskoga without issue.
At a boy ! Thanks (m)nate I feel a bit stupid, had the wrong controller profile (while I had been fiddling with the new Heusinkveld SQ shifter). I renamed the profiles, so that this will not happen again. Btw: the NSU H-shifter works fine now (no matter how fast I shift)
Ahh, good to hear this fixed it. I have done the same quite a number of times, so I know from a lot of experience that this is a likely cause
