    Hi Floryn,

Looks like your system is failing to start up on full screen.

Can you please try the following to see if it helps?

    - Go to Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData and edit graphics_options.xml in notepad.

    - Make sure the value for the variable shown in the image states false instead of true. This will run the game in windowed mode.

I have a very similar problem. I've just changed my monitor and I got this message: "Failed to create DX9 device. Invalid call." The previous monitor was a 28 inch with 16:9 ratio, the new one is a 34 inch with 21:9 ration (LG 34UC79G). Nothing else has changed.
Do you have any good idea how to resolve this?

Update: It was coused of the 16 bit colour scheme. It works now perfectly.

Have you done what is mentioned above? Or even tried to delete the graphics_options.xml file which is located in the Folder: Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData

No, I didn't delete the graphics_options.xml file but changed as Sonat Ozturk suggested above.

Maybe just try to delete that file. A new File will be created when you are starting the game. After that you just need to adjust your graphics-settings again.

    Hi There,
    @Sonat Ozturk

I am having the exact same issues since yesterday. Tried all the above mentioned but nothing. Even changed a few setting below and rolled it back when nothing changed.

Are you getting the same error? The game should fall back to safe resolution but in case there's an issue you can try in windowed mode to see if it helps. I marked the line in bold. Basically the line under 60 (which is your refresh rate). Changing the true to false there will launch the game in windowed mode.

Did you make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date? That's how some users with the same error solved it.

I did a complete removal and reinstallation of the game and drivers. Will do it again later today. Getting desperate now to solve the problem. Will keep you guys posted.

If you can send your game.log found in the R3E User folder found in Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData\Log

You can either attach it here or send it to Kitsune in your ticket. If we're lucky we can see something in the logs about why it fails to find your display adapter.

Unfortunately that just shows pretty much what the crash showed. It fails to create a directX device, all subsequent errors in the log is because of that.
Make sure NVIDIA isn't set up to start games with an internal GPU like Intel HD. Also, you can see if your GPU is properly listed in Windows Device Manager.
Could be Windows updating the drivers for the GPU and messing it up.

Ok the log file did not help much as it basically shows the same warning. For some reason the graphics drivers fail to initialise. If it's not the graphics drivers then I would try updating DirectX. Please go to the redist folder folder where you installed game (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\raceroom racing experience\Game\REDIST) and manually install the directx_Jun2010_redist found in there.

Alternatively it might also be a clash between two graphics drivers. Do you have an integrated graphics card on the motherboard that is active?

Hi guys, did a clean driver and game installation. But nothing changed. Still getting the same error. Also removed a bunch of programs just to see if there might be a conflict. But no luck.

There is also no integrated graphics card.

This is killing me. Can't format my system just to get R3e running.

Ps: Ran the directx_Jun2010_redist as well.
