So here's my new rig. All from reclaimed wood. I spent $8 on metric bolts to mount my G27. And $6 on spray paint. I modified some plans I saw on inside sim racing to fit my desires. And am really quite proud of it.

Aluminum paint adds a nice touch.

Surround sound for the race. And an old 100watt amp I have stored for about 12 yrs to push the sound actuators. I'm still using my gaming laptop. Saving up for a new computer by the end of the year.

Awesome DIY setup man, but doesn't that seat get uncomfortable real quick?

No it's not too bad. It has about an inch of padding on it. But, I recently got a seat from an old pickup. Ready to go except I haven't figured out how to mount the buttkicker.

Ok, I couldn't stand it anymore. I mounted the actuators to the frame. And installed the new seat. The vibration is a bit more subtle, and a bit more general. But the better seat more than makes up for it.

Don't know if this is market-ready but definitely an option.

Got a Playseat Evolution, TH8A Shifter, and a TMX and pedals for $400. I didn't need the TMX and pedals but they were included. Now I just need a monitor stand and a holder for the shifter and I should be good to go.

Just started using my recently completed racing/flight sim cockpit, sure helps having a solid rig with everything in the proper position for my height and preferences. I can easily switch between racing and flight controls.
Primarily faux leather wrapped MDF. SimVibe transducers under seat and pedals.

Since DropBox changed their "policy", none of the previous pictures I placed in earlier posts are showing up now.
So, I'll just post the "finished" (for now) project (SimLab P1 chassis with integrated triple screen mounting).

It is incredible strong and the difference with my previous (real sturdy) Simetik K2 is enormous. FFB is so much better with the Fanatec V2 (waiting for Fanatecs DD wheel).
And the triples don't move at all. Very happy with this chassis.

    Edit:
Ditched the idea of a Fanatec DD (for multiple reasons, not only the ridiculous waiting period).
A OSW / simucube from SimracingBay and a wheel from SSRG was the better option.

    Hello.
    Worth the upgrade to V2?
Just looked again at your rig, looks very well engineered.
Nicely put together, and thought out.

Can I ask, what rear speaker mount is that ? as it looks like a great solution to a problem I have, thank you.

Sure, it is speaker mount from this RaceRoom set:
    https://www.raceroomstore.com/shop_en/bracket-set-5-1-sound.html
It fitted perfectly to my old RaceRoom rig, but this Sparco seat has the safety belt openings a bit further apart, so now the mount is attached by means of a zip tie. Still need to make a wider clamp, but the tie holds well...

Not sure about your question ?
The V2 is worth the upgrade over other wheels. It is discontinued though and replaced by the V2.5.
Bu I am waiting for their Direct Drive wheel.
