Question Live Delta time

Would it be possible to implement LIVE DELTA somewhere in the HUD ?
A small bar turning red/green and the time (- or + compared to your fastest lap) like in other sims.
I'm sure it is already in the API, since some HUD apps show it.

 

I just tested BeamNG. Here you can add everything you need with little so-called apps. Really cool. I agree, would be nice if Raceroom would show more information than the motec display. More than lapsed.

 

I have used DashmeterPro (which has the Live Delta) but changed to RS Dash because I can use it for all my sims. It misses the live delta for now, but even then I am using the in-game Live Delta because it is so useful and I can put it wherever I want on the screen. Looking at the info in between all the other data on a extra screen (android or iOS) is a bit too distracting when I'm driving 'on the edge'.

 

I have DashmeterPro as well but I prefer a build in version from Sector3. The only third party App I can not miss is Crew chief
performance delta or however we call it should be standard in racing sims nowadays, my opinion.

 

I have RS Dash, but I use it rarely. Just because I haven't got a good mount for my ipad and iphone. I have to have it right in front of me. All other places makes it useless because I lose my focus.

Delta timing HUD in R3E is just that one thing really missing. And it would by nice to see a delta timer in future with various options. For example per fastest sector, per lap (previous, personal fastest, overall fastest), live timing difference between the position before you and/or after you etc. I think we will see something like this in the future. Just because all main competitors have it, and I would be surprised if the upcoming GTR3 lacks it. And because there shall be benefits from GTR3 to R3E, this would be at least one of it. I hope.

 

I would love to see a live delta bar in R3E too as a seperate HUD feature. It's nr1 on my current wanted list for R3E

In VR you can't rely on other apps like DMP.

 

I have A simr dlx in my ferrari f1 wheel and the delta display is excellent, I use it regularly now.

 

I would like it as well, but I want to be able to disable the live delta time at sometimes (I find it sometimes distracting too...)

 

Yes, that would be great, being able to enable/disable a live delta bar with a hotkey.

 

To turn off such elements and move them left right up and down should be mandatory

Yesterday, I saw a video about Automobilista.I think Raceroom is the only sim left that doesn't have such a delta bar. Last year I played project cars, they have nice overview about your sector times. constantly visible in the upper right corner. In Raceroom they always disappear.

 

In pCars, AMS, RF2 and AC the app is present (mod or original) and can be placed where you want it.

But the HUD needs some more crucial stuff like:
- Last, previous and best lap time.
- Sector times
- Best sector times combined in a best virtual lap.
- Last 5 lap times.

Projectcars has a very decent hud imho.

 

Any answer from sector 3, please ?
