Love the car, it there a big blob of shadows floating about 25m in front of me on every track in VR. O In it's current state makes it undrivable for me Hope this gets fixed soon
This is an extraordinarily good car. Sound. Artwork. Physics. Just brilliant. It's so immersive the last lap notification comes as a surprise every time. And I can't hear my Crew Chief any more (I know I can turn him up). Congratulations to all who built it.
Yes, the info is that there is no info. I don't know if there really is something serious in development. But it would be welcome. Something based on the 1.5 liter turbocharged Renault engine would be awesome. Manual shifted, no assistants, no electronic mumbo jumbo, just pure horsepowers and a chasis. Damn I would fail it big time, but love it also big time!
that would speak against all historical cars, but we have vintage racing on modern tracks today as well.. the frx is insane btw
There are plenty of racing classes which uses historic cars. Besides the various demonstrations and displays. So historic F1 "inspired" cars are far from senseless to release
Why not Let it as it was? Better should be a message before you enter the setup or something else, is my opinion So much cars and than go to different setups settings, this can give chaos
I had big shadows on Spa with this car. Not all the time, but on certain sections of the track. (Straight out of Eu Rouge was probably the biggest. Not enough to worry me, or break immersion. I assumed it was giant vultures circling. I think it was a good idea. Without TC being automatically on, I might have written the car off as undriveable. Now I can slowly reduce the TC as I tame the beast. (So, it'll stay at 6 then!) Other cars, with too much TC initially might feel dull and unresponsive, leading to other drivers writing them off. I work for a garage and often have to move customer cars. It seems every one has a different configuratin of ignition key, handbrake, starting sequence, gear positioning, automatic crushing you against the wheel in Mercedes, clutch bite points.... I can't believe race cars would be much different.
All I can say is 4 wheel sliding an FRX is life, all wrapped up in an instance, bereft of all worries and challenges, Nirvana................................................................................................ then comes the punch in the face! Best mental workout for a long time, pure definition of on the edge racing, aero is phenomenal and paired with the extra wide rubber the corner speeds are beyond imagination. Sound as usual, top notch, hat doffed. Would be nice to have some tyre compounds to go with the FRX, due soon I believe, this month perhaps?
I'll try at the weekend - but it's not a game killer for me. A lap of Spa in under 2 minutes - insane! I know it's subjective - but I thought the AI was pretty good too. YMMV.
I agree, a default TC on a high level would have been better than changing TC presets order for one car, but maybe default TC is not implemented in the game.
If we weren't all so bloody keen to just jump in the car and get on track, maybe we would have read the release notes and stuff...... Not saying it was definitely in there - I didn't read any of that stuff either!
It disturbs me about ergonomics, and more in theory than practice ^^. This is the only car where you decrease TC by increasing TC level. I can fix it with setup, but think the base idea is wrong. Ergonomics are important. .
Ergonomics and muscle memory. Yeah, when put that way, I can see that the idea was flawed. But it was made with the best intentions. I kinda miss the days when I would buy a computer game (from a real shop), and go home, desperate for a chance to have use of the TV (yes, TV) and read the booklet for the game cover to cover. Then read it again while the tape drive tried it's best to load all 16k of the game into the computer's memory. Actually, having typed that, thank goodness for SSD drives and superfast internet connections. I still like having the booklets though.
