I originally wanted to pass on this one, as I am not a fan of Tilke's modern F1 tracks. But I got weak and I must say - WOW! I never thought I would like it, well I don't like it - I love it Thanks S3 for this surprise track (Now please surprise us with some new cars, it is about time O )
Really appreciate to see this kind of honesty from devs. You guys are awesome About the track I don't have it yet since I'm not sure I would like it (never drove it in any sim) but watching this video I noticed a bit more pop in (at 0:38, the buildings on the background) than I'm used to see in Raceroom, which is one of the most polished sims I've ever played. But the weirdest thing are the shadows disappearing right in front of the car. It's easy to see on the starting grid right in the beginning of the video and again at around 1:52. Could this be a problem with the youtuber's hardware or it's some bug? Never seen this happening in the game.
The disappearing shadows right in front of the car is not a bug of the track. It's a bug of the gameplay in VR. I have it with my Oculus Rift on every track in the game. In the practice session, the shadows are working correctly, but when I jump to the qualifying session or race, the shadows of the track objects are completly missing or disappearing right in front of the car. I've found out, that I can fix the bug, when I cycle through the cockpit cams several times. It would be great, if Sector 3 could fix this bug.
What a pleasant surprise and a super soontm release! That we may have a lot of this kind of pleasant surprises in the future!
Already bought !! Great work Sector3, I hope you continue betting to bring more circuits to the simulator. I look forward to announcing what your next track will be ... regards
Like many I too was once a Tilke-hater, but driving on their tracks in some sims and watching some races on them have convinced me they are in fact brilliant. The ones that were built without structural limitations (like Sepang) have a unique flow to them and a variety of corners and can produce some amazing racing. Formula 2 is a good example. Sorry for the off-topic.
the action camera is not really working, I mean half of the track its ok, but then I only see grass grass grass
