The people that make the car and track models are not the same as the people that work on the game engine
WAAAAAAAAAATKINS GLEEEEEEEEEEN !!! Soon, I am going crazy ... The people who create the track models normally shouldn't be the same people who work on the game engine? Who else should convert the current R3E tracks?
1.Watkins Glen 2. Le Mans 24h 3. Melbourne 4! Grey Alley Midway Grandprix as a Raceroom Raceway variante*cough. There will no copywrite problem. Because it is Grey Alley!
Since I recently got to do some full Laps of Watkins Glen in a lightly modded Mini Cooper S, I'll put in a vote for WG! The track was awesome, and the car was a blast as well! I sadly had to practice up in PC2 before going If you haven't watched this year's 6hrs of the Glen I highly recommend it!
1. Circuit de Catalunya 2. A fictional track 3. Another fictional track Reason: I had much fun with the various Porsche Cup cars at Catalunya in good ole rFactor back in the days. That was blast. Would be awesome to drive this track in Raceroom. And I have to admit that I really love a good fictional track. Anyone remembering Grand Valley, Essington, Mills Metro Park, Sardian Heights, Thermalito, Vitus Parc, Lake Superior, Crown Plaza, Pineda or Troyton Raceway? I don't know how many hours I spent there... They're cheaper to make and a track artist can show his creativity skills. After I spent some time on the Raceroom Raceway I would like to see another one with such a beautiful landscape. I think such tracks makes a game more unique, like Blackwood in Live for Speed, because no other title has them. But that's only my opinion.
A track that have caught my attention is the newly built Zhejiang Circuit located in the city of Shaoxing in China, a city of 5 million people a few hours drive south of Shanghai. The track itself is 3.2km long with a 22-meter elevation difference between the highest and lowest points. The main course can be split into two smaller circuits. 'East' which is 1.54km and 'West' which is 1.61km. It's FIA Grade 2. It looks like a fun track to drive. Lots of elevation change, with both technical and fast parts.
@Aspius that track looks absolutly staggering! I hope to see that track in R3E in the near future! But it wouldn't make my top 3 tracks for the wishlist 1 Albert-Park Melbourne 2 Magny-Cours 3 Le Mans apart from those being fantastic tracks, i don't see any of them coming. Albert-Park is a semi-permanent racetrack so i imagine it is not the easiest thing to get the data required to make the track (But I'm no specialist so if anyone knows better, feel free to comment on that) and apart from f1, there aren't many more races throughout the year... And it is nearly the same for Magny-Cours. It is a permanent racetrack which would make it easier to get the data (again, no specialist) but there aren't many races apart from what i know the superbike world championship and a few minor national racing series... and Le-Mans, honestly, i don't think you could sell that for 500vPR as i often read that it is just so expensive to get the license and then to do the models and stuff so that the track looks just as good as all the others do in RaceRoom. So to conclude: i don't think 1 and 2 come, because the lack of interest that there is in the real world and Le Mans could be just to expensive...
Updated the list.. Twin Ring Motegi which had 6 votes - one from me - has been released in the meanwhile and it is superb in my opinion! @Aspius @VTM Julia @MrBones22 you can give 3 tracks..
I have to say most of you guys on this forum does have a good taste, because i pretty much agree with the current track wish list on page 1.
Ok, since I only mentioned Watkins Glen... The other two would be a tough choice since there are so many great tracks, but It's hard to argue against LeMans, and Sebring, even though I would love to do a (shortened) 24hrs of Daytona race, but we don't have night time racing yet... So I guess I'll go with: 1. Watkins Glen 2. Sebring 3. LeMans But generally, any new tracks are cool with me. I've been enjoying Zuhai, and Motegi!
