I’m interested to know what would be good multi-class racing on RaceRoom if it was available?

Good question. I am really into WEC and i think it would be cool to drive LMP1s, LMP2s and GTs in multi-class races without getting hit by inexperienced drivers. I know that iRacing has got a lot of mature drivers but I am simply not ready to spend that much money on games (yet at least).

Seriously, R3E has so much potential to be a proper VLN sim. Many car classes, a Nordschleife that allows 100 cars at track, and even with so many cars it runs great performance wise. We just need the UI support for it.
The only other sim I can think of would be rFactor1/2, but the latter's performance is quite lacking. So R3E might fill a void for quite some VLN enthusiasts here...

I would love to have multiclass racing! Even without a 24 hour cycle it would still be absolutely thrilling to run for 1, 3, 6 or more hours in a proper multiclass setting. I live in America and was a huge fan of ALMS. I still follow the Rolex series too as I can as well as the European series along with WEC, etc.

I have the game Motorsport Manager and it has WEC (with multiclass) and GT style racing in there for you to be team manager of your own race team. It's so fun but I also want to drive too and so I start craving R3E and wishing it had multiclass.

By the way, anyone besides me notice that the RaceRoom Raceway has lights installed and can illuminate the track during the hours of darkness? HINT, HINT!! The devs should make it happen.

Oh yeah, I'd also like to have an AI co-driver so that I can take breaks and do real-life things as needed so an AI co-driver could fill in for me during those periods of time. Why not? Right?

The most frustrating part is that the functionality has been there for a while...

    For your Information:
This is already possible in the Event Version of the game (which is used at lans).
I don't know if the Event version works similar to the steam game, but if it does, it should pretty much just involve a UI redesign.
Now, taking into account how busy the few developers are, i dont know when they will get to work at this though.

Sooner than later I hope, the problem I suppose is that updates to the base game don't bring in revenue where as new content does.....

If that's the case, personally, I'd be happy to pay for it as it's something I've always wanted in RaceRoom single player, but YMMV of course. :)

That said, RR was so devoid of features in the beginning that it was obvious that as well as content the base game had to evolve, neglecting either would be suicidal. S3 have made it clear that RR is an evolution, next weeks patch will include feature updates along with the GT4's, not to mention UI improvements.
An ever improving base Sim makes as many bucks as content sales in the long run (kinda intertwined anyway as one doesn't exist without the other), in the years to come, what is possible in RR will keep people playing, long after content stops. The more complete a Sim is the more people you please.
Just a shame some of us will die before the rest of Brands Hatch appears! :D

Totally, don't get me wrong, I think the sim is great and the fact that it is still being worked on is brilliant. My only point was that they have to keep money coming in to keep developing so inevitably the resources will be split between producing new stuff and polishing what is already there. I do think that some people ask to much though, quality over quantity is better in my book.

I sure hope this can find its way into the priorities somehow - it is kind of annoying to watch Youtube vids/streams and constantly see multi-player and not be able to do race that way myself.

It would definitely compel me to eat more peanut butter sandwiches in order to buy more content quicker. I want Nurburgring so bad, but I also want the American track pack so I can live out some Trans Am fantasies, but I also want the rest of the Euro tracks in that track pack.

My problem is that I'm a young retiree sidelined with a disability and subsisting on a meager pension. I can only afford at most $20-40 range on myself for non-food, non-bill stuffs and if I have to make a doctor's visit during the month, that really hurts cause we Americans are fleeced to death for our healthcare. $25 to see a family doctor upfront, $30+ to see a specialist. I'd rather be giving that money to RaceRoom, lol.

But anyways, I'll find a way to sacrifice to get what I want, lol. Even if I were to have to pay for a multiclass DLC, I'd do it. I'd just put off getting my Ford GT GTR1 car a little longer, sadly. But I'll get that eventually too, lol.

I like the idea of introducing a charge for significant updates balanced by a modest reduction in price for cars and tracks. This would reduce / remove the 'perverse incentive' to pump out cars and tracks (always welcome, don't get me wrong) while basic features sit on the back burner. And like many of us I've been playing since early 2013 when the game was a hot-lapper (no-AI at all) - so the wait has been long.

Having said that, I don't think it would work - I imagine that the base game has to be identical for everyone or there would be huge complications which would only get worse over time. So feature updates have to be compulsory and it would be hard to say "gives us $5 or the game stops working".

So for the devs it's rock... hard place.

Please remember that the people developing new features arent the ones developing new cars or tracks ;)

As far as i know, feature development right now is going sluggish because of Employment reasons, meaning there's just not enough people, as well as people being busy with a feature we cannot talk about yet. As S3S is currently hiring, they are hoping to put up the sails soon.
