Unfortunate news http://www.dailysportscar.com/2018/11/06/team-taisan-set-to-withdraw-from-super-gt.html
Will no doubt be a successful car given Corvettes dedication to motorsports but I can't help but feel they're losing something special going forward here, much like BMW did for me when they transitioned to the M6 from the Z4 in GT3. I will miss the C7r, that growl and look really made it feel like a classic muscle car.
The WTCR calendar for 2019 have started to take shape and is almost finished. For the most part they will be visiting the same locations but the order have changed a little as some have switched positions. The big change is that the race at Wuhan in China have been replaced with a race at Sepang in Malaysia. The race at Sepang will be the season finale. It will have a unique format in that one of the three races will be taking place under the floodlights at night.
There is a new Prius in town.. It will participate in Japanese Super GT, in the GT300-class. The old Prius carried an older LMP1 engine with hybrid system. The new one has a Lexus RcF GT3 V8, dont know if there will still be any hybrid system but i guess not.. Would be amazing to have the old or new Prius in the GTR3-class.. Little video of the old Prius which Raced until last year and had to be replaced due to regulations..
This was the final race of the Prius with LMP1-engine past december in Super GT. Onboard footage from the whole race. Really worth watching, especially the first 45min.. Enjoy
One of my most watched videos....Sean Edwards doing what he did best....destroying traffic at the 'ring. Every overtake is clinical and he loses barely any time. Saw him racing live in supercup a couple of times. What a talent we lost when he passed...
