Can the developers explain me how was calculated the default 0.9 value of the VR world scale?
For some vehicles the cockpit view looks so huge... for instance the BMW 235i, its wheel is huge

The steering wheel is the only thing I see outside of world scale, the rest of the car and the track seem to be fine. And indeed it happens with the old models.

Could it simply be that you're sitting close to the wheel?
Tried adjusting the driving camera backwards?

Could also be that the wheel is sticking out quite a bit from the dashboard.

Ok i will try to adjust my virtual head ;)
But most of the time I try to put it as close as possible to the neck.

The solution is not to move the seat backwards. You would have to sit almost in the back seat ... in an M235i do not sit in the back seat (it's not a Mercedes DTM 95, where you're sitting far back).

Try an M235i or a Judd 134 (for example) in VR. Surely you perceive that the steering wheel is on a larger scale than the rest of the car.

Ok, after a couple months twiddling around and getting nothing. I finally get in the game... well, kinda. I seem to be floating around the track. How do I get into the menus and make selections as I would on a 2d menu? Am I completely off base with this? I am using a samsung odyssey

SteamVr is simply not kind to other vendors in my opinion - but sounds like your close -

Do you have a button mapped to center vr?

Both your problems sound like you are not virtually sitting where you are suppose to be.

To get “menus” it’s the same as in 2D - hit escape.

There is also commands for moving up/down left/right. Generally I rest my head comfortably- hit center VR then use those U/D/L/R buttons to put my head on top of the virtual drivers neck.

From all the sim experiences I’ve tried (all of them) it’s somehow the most immersive. Assetto Corsa with a very robust machine looks nicer, Iracing seems the most functional, pc2 I have trouble saying is a sim but it’s so inconsistent in performance that it’s a battle to get 90fps thAt looks reasonable), lfs I only tried for awhile (working mirrors!!). Still Raceroom once dialed in for 90fps has the best sense of speed, best sound, best immersion in my opinion.

Out of all you mentioned pC2 is the easiest to get a solid 90fps but has serious issues with the way it drives (curbs pull you in) and the sounds are so wrong and I find myself in AC and rF2 most but lately come back to R3E again and fell in love again with the '15 DTM. But as for driver position, ACC seems to hit that on the head (or neck, lol)

Has anyone tried RaceRoom with a Pimax 5k+ or maybe a Vive Pro?

I'm getting 60-70fps on 2 different tracks and 2 different cars. CPU Frametimes based on the fpsVR app are at 15ms and the graph is pretty jagged on the CPU side, although the GPU seems fine.

I have an 8700k@4.8 all cores, 32gb ram, RTX 2080Ti FE, and an M.2 SSD
Not sure what's causing the fps to be at 60-70 when I was at 80+ before.

I brought SteamVR SS to 100% from 170% and it didnt help, so something else is going on, and I'm not sure what it could be.
