I don't mind if the 962 is a class on it's own. It's such an icon and i would be having lots of fun just driving the car.

 

I think it is some Porsche cup car. Probably some sort of vintage race car.

 

Whoa there! Speculation not complaining.... I'm happy for whatever we get.

 

It sounds a lot like the 934. And based on the used filters in the video and the artwork it’s definitely somewhere between end ‘60s and end ‘70s.

 

At around 7 seconds, you can see the top of the car briefly and looks a bit orange to me.

could also be a Audi R8 LMS GT3

 

I think there's something wrong with your ears, it's clearly a flat six and not a V10.

Soooo. I more or less recreated this shot with Fabcar 935 on Zolder that I placed where you'd normally drive during race (or maybe even closer to the wall). Here's what I've got:


So we can assume that mysterious car has somewhat similar height as Fabcar 935, so I'd rule out any prototype racers, as they're lower. But I'm too tired today to dig deeper.

 

The sound teasers of R3E are always a real ear organism! Love it! … sounds a little bit like the BMW Z4 GT3 but its definitely an older car from the 70s oder 80s. Mhhh …

I think it is an old RSR. It doesnt sound too beasty, but definetly a flat 6 and i think N/A

It's possible that it's the announcement of a patch without any new car.

And what we see and hear in the video is the Fabcar 935 and the update includes new physics and/or sounds for Group 5.
