    @Alex Hodgkinson
    Drove the 934 in the current competition on Zolder. So much fun to drive with this turns and up and downs.
    Physics are so amazing. You are a genius :) :hearteyes:

    Yea, but that was in Div.II of course, which was already a great performance for this aging car and for an Escort :D

    Nice! Raceroom should measure a car's driving difficulty by buckets of sweat produced per kilometre driven. The 934 would have to top the list as a 5 bucketer, I reckon. :D

    If you work a little backwards, 1975 had Group 4 Panteras and Corvettes, and a little forwards and you have a Group 4 Morgan Plus 8 that raced in the early 80's, and in 1975 and 1976 there was a Group 4 240Z at Le Mans, so there's some cars that can make some competition, albiet not the usual suspects.

    Can I underline this highlight.
    What would be nice, would be to eventually get the option to pop a set of modern race tyres on the 934, great for a track day on the Nords and I'd love to be able to use more of its potential, those crossplys are no good to man or beast. Now if we had historical tracks I could understand historical tyres but with modern tracks we are obviously not time travelling but running classic cars in the present. So the option to rubber up with something sticky, should be available, for authenticity's sake only of course. I know if I had the dollar to own a 934, I'd be running it on the best tyres available, not too mention brake pads.
    Just a passing thought!

    Don't listen to him man, we have a car selector, if he don't like the Escort, he doesn't have to run it. ;) In fact you've opened the floodgates for an influx of motors that didn't quite make it to the start line but existed, like the Datsun 240z f.e. Could become a bit of a competition, who can find the most obscure group 4 candidate, see if we can better the GT3 class in numbers.

    I do like the Escort, it's just an historical point, that's all.

    Beastux is absolutely right though, the wins didn't happen in DRM but in Rennsport Trophäe, ETCC and others european championships, so it needs to be precised here ;)

    Still, the car was quite performant until the end of its career, achieving an impressive serie of wins during the 1982 season and a bunch of 2nd and 3rd positions in many races.

    My personal memories of this car are in hillclimbs, as a few of them were racing in the french championship in the late 70's-early 80's.
    Being driven by some of the top hillclimb drivers at that time, the car was extremely spectacular and man, what a fantastic noise it made, I still have chills just thinking about it.
    You really felt like a monster was coming, just awesome ! :D

    It seems I enjoy roadcar -like racecars the most, and this roadcar extraordinaire is one of them. Please no modern tyres (or brakes). Ever. (Ok, as an option maybe, but otherwise never.)

    I've just tried the current competition @ Circuit Zolder, with H-shifter, heel & toe and non-automatic clutch. Just as neil mentioned it, I am missing 1 or 2 upshifts per lap (and also often 1 or 2 downshifts). I think I have to concentrate to make clean gearchanges and really enjoy this beautiful car fully.

    It's also very easy to make powerslides, espescially in the Kanaalbocht and Terlamenbocht curves. Really a fantastic addition to R3E. :D

    Btw, does anyone else think, that we need more Jägermeister cars in RR? Wouldn't the upcoming physics update be a good opportunity to present us the 635 and the E30 M3 in orange? I'm quite optimistic though, that at least one of the still to come Porsche's gonna be available in Jägermeister livery.
