Maybe that helps some of you with the FFB. Otherwise I will be waiting until the next patch and don't fiddle around and leave it as it is right now.
The FFB is obviously not working like it should, with no road texture feedback at all. I'm running SimVibe, and that kind of makes up for it. But without SimVibe, it feels rather dull. As are the graphics. Dull and cartoonish, not even remotely realistic. This could perhaps be tweaked as well, but I don't see how. Apart from this, the game is quite nice, and with a couple of patches I think this could work. Nothing's perfect. (But Raceroom is pretty darn close.)
Try and do a 18.00pm rally in New Zealand, like do nothing and in the shadows the track vanishes it's so dark..But agree also about the graphics, there not good..
The graphics are a good deal better than DR1, imo. I guess you could try using reshade to reduce saturation, if that's the issue. Also the sounds are a huge improvement (not quite R3E though ).
The sounds are good, I agree. It's not only the saturation, everything turns way too dark in some conditions, like @Gopher04 says. Also, in wet conditions everything is glossy and way too reflective. Many aspects contribute to "not good". I don't think there's an easy fix for all this, but I'm going to do some tweaking and see how it goes.
Ok, so I changed the RGB dynamic range output to "limited", and the graphics now look more like it's supposed to. No more extremely bright and extremely dark areas. The brightness adjustment screen also looks more correct now. Suppose the game isn't designed to work with full RGB range, at least not on my setup... Other games, Raceroom included, look like crap with limited range. Guess I'll have to switch back and forth, then. You should check this on your setup as well, @Gopher04 .

Well it looks like there is a bug anyway for quite a few years, that some people see it and others don't, if I swap tabs those settings appear then vanish again..
I think this issue might be a result of both a bug and different setups. I had an issue with extreme whites as well, but that's suddenly solved, regardless of dynamic range setting. Dynamic range fixes the extreme darks, at least. That problem I can reliably reproduce.
Not in the current state but it will be delivered with a later release... https://www.pcgamesn.com/dirt-rally-2/dirt-rally-2-vr
