This is great. I would by the way expect the APIs are documented...

    Great stuff guys! :)

Regarding the overlays.. This means we will be able to customize it for when we are racing right?!
And no tirepressures for gt3 in beta?

    Wow. I'm speechless.
Custom HUD, kick/ban on server, flatspots and suspension damage.... Woah.

But a new engine or engine update/polish is still a thing for the future? :)

Wow great updates in the line.
    @J-F Chardon
But what is with weather, day night change and the unreal engine upgrade? That are news I wait for. And it is now over a year you pronounced that features to come.

Are you sure that all this was announced?
Imo they just said they look into the possibilities for a new engine or whatever...

And personally I'd rather have a great base first before thinking about something like rain.

This game is like wine... its gets better with age. With these announced new features regarding flat spotting, suspension damage, tire pressures and car physics in general ...with what i quoted.. does that hint there will be a telemetry system in the future?

Currently i use the RS Dash app from time to time, which is a great tool to give you information on whats going on with the car.. like brake lock up.. i have a hard time determining if its front or rear. Another tool i miss from playing other racing titles is tire temperature for the outer, middle and inner temps. Its nice to know how much i will need to adjust my camber per track.

Having an on screen system that overlays would be would be welcoming cause it is difficult to look at my phone ( which is what i use the app on )

Does this mean fully electric motors only or does this also include hybrids?

Also, for anyone wondering, Unannounced Formula car is probably F1 from around 1990, as was teased somewhere some time ago

    Yes.
Not at the moment. This will probably take longer due to the sheer number of cars in the class.
None of that has ever been announced as definitely coming. It was only ever mentioned as things that are being investigated.
With the additions in shared memory and the web HUD this could be one of the possible uses. If you look closely at the screenshot of the web HUD you can already see some things in there that aren't part of the regular HUD.
Once the system is fully operational it should be useable for both.

I've just read the planned updates, and I am very impressed that all of these goodies will be added soon. I just have a question about flat spotting. Wasn't that in RaceRoom at some point? I could have sworn that I encountered Flat spots in the sim... Maybe I am confusing it with a different title.

Still I am happy that this is coming. I can't wait to learn the in's and outs of the update. Thanks.

Think you're confusing this with punctures, which have been in the game for some time now. You can already pop a tyre if you overdrive it but flat spots hadn't been implemented until now.

Thank you this is outstanding news :) Hugely appreciate flat spots and deeper damage model.
Any plans to add a cooldown lap, so that race does not cut off at s/f line? Engline stall? Would be awesome to have stall on those 90s DTM cars. Both of those are low hanging fruits, but will make a huge difference to me personally.
