    Hi all,

Anyone know anything about setups please feel free to post what stupid things I did wrong with my setups. Managed to qualify for round 1 Silverstone 3motion challenge and finished 16th in the race. The setup became loose fast during the race and during quali I just couldn't push any harder. Hopefully any help useful tips / tricks here will help others too ;O) I'm not very good at tuning so wont take offence if I've made obvious mistakes.

You described that especially in race your car became loose. In which situations?
IMO your camber-setting for race might be a bit low (something between Quali and Race-setup could be good) and Wing a bit high.
Try a bit with the differential-setting. Especially in acceleration out of a slow corner I often have a more comfortable feeling with a lower setting.

Thx for taking time to comment...mainly corner exits putting down the power. Will try all these and post updated setup when I go faster. Thx again.

Had a quick play with quali setup. Went from a 1:55.034 to 1:54.738 (2nd flying lap is always fastest for me with this setup) on the Silverstone GP Leaderboard. 2nd but still 0.535 sec off 1st place Julian Kunze in the same Saleen S7R!!! After my research I maxed out both cambers (ok for leaderboards and quali apparently) and thanks to m.bohlkens advice adjusted wing and preload, I moved then down and reduce brake bias one click. Reference the Race setup....reviewing the race replay, my Saleen looks very bouncey compared to the 1st place drivers in race!! Will see if I can find a way to make a short side by side vid....

New Quali setup - 1:54.738 Silverstone GP Saleen S7R......Race / challenge Matt Webb on leaderboard and youll be using same setup as me ;O)

Strange on a leaderboard without tire wear, fuel usage or changing track conditions :D

The brake temperatures can change, though.

Having the suspensions/arbs allowing for increased rear weight distribution when accelerating will help on slow corner exits, but the car will predictably understeer more. But in these type of cars, more understeer just means you can really be aggressive with your steering, reason also why the steering ratio should be bellow 450º/16, imo.

A bit off topic but, are all cars in this class properly BoP ?

I ask this because in the entry list for tomorrow race in Nurb, I'm the only one with the koenigsegg. The rest are all Fords and Saleen.

I admit I didn't know what this competition was about when I clicked the leaderboard Sunday morning. The next day I received an e-mail that my koenigsegg time qualified for a race. Should I change to a Ford or Saleen?

It depends on the track a bit, from what I can tell the Koenigsegg is competitive on Nürburgring but not so much on fast tracks.
