Yes but that's a high end switch, a cheaper but still perfectly functional switch is available. There's no reason why a low-mid price wheel plate would not be very successful....especially to those with more than one wheel. I don't need to spend (or have available to spend) £1000 on a steering wheel to play a computer game....

Knitter buttons feels soooooo awesome. :D I'm glad that we have the option to buy high end stuff with these nice buttons. But @ravey1981 has a point there. Knitter buttons and real carbon are not necessary for a button box. There should be way more stuff in the low-end range.

I'm waiting for a decent H-Shifter, that feels like a ''normal'' one... even these highend H shifter over 1000Euro aren't close to normal (listening to most reviews)... you have the TH8A with alsmost no resistance and then a lot of 3D printed stuff which isn't the real deal eather.... and then the Fanatec Tank Shifter.... frustrating market situation x) (hoping ascher Racing comes up with something maybe) or a Fantec Podium Shifter LoL ...

Heusinkveld is working on an H-Shifter for 2 years now I think. But they ditched their first design because it didn't feel realistic enough. I guess we can expect some news regarding this during 2019.

Today the last batch of my aluminum profiles arrived. Waited 4 weeks for them. My plan was to replace every profile on my rig with a clean profile without slots where possible.

Anodised bolts should complement the look.

Furthermore I want to build new sleeved cables to connect a self made button box, a Heusinkveld handbrake and shifter directly to the controller of the HE pedals.

I guess this will be a long weekend. :)

@ravey1981 Thanks! :) It's a 128x64 black/white screen. Can be programmed with custom screens for lap times, tire pressure and all the usual stuff. I know, there are way more advanced methods for doing this like high res touch screens but at the time I bought the display (2014) I didn't know it better. :D But at least it doesn't eat up much CPU resources and it's very reliable.

All these fancy setups, i just bolt mine to my desk whenever i want to use it. I do have a new wheel fitted to the G25 though, nothing special but i'm on a tight budget, my RX8 PZ eats up all my cash at the moment. I need to get some paddle shifters though, they look a bit small now. I also use a Rift headset. I'll put my setup below, all the lighting is rgb and it's usually just on a low blue glow like in the wheel pic. I'll be moving at some point soonish so i'm putting off doing anymore.

Are the backlights mostly a pale pink when you've got pornhub on?

To be honest, the Fanatec shifter is great. It feels great in my opinion. The only downside is that you must open inside and apply more automotive grease for a smooth operation. I think it is fairly priced too.

This one might be currently the best on the market but hey, can you afford it  https://www.pro-sim.co.uk/shop/h-pattern-shifter/#tab-description

Thank you for the Information, never had a chance to try the fanatec one, but so many people using this and from what it looks like it has the best feeling (yet)...

There are a few reviews for the pro sim shifter online, they all say it doesn't feel like any ''real'' h shifter out there. Maybe there are some race cars with that feeling, I don't know...

I'm gonna wait for ascher racing, if they ever release one.

Ascher racing has top-notch quality products. Didn't hear anything about the H-pattern and it could be a long way, same as HE.
Fair enough. I was in the same shoe as you. Never thought that Fanatec shifter will make me happy but in fact, it did very much. Hence that Sequential mode is not as good but it's there if you need it. You can't go wrong with the Fanatec in terms of build quality, price, and feel. I would highly recommend getting Fanatec shifter and the chances are you won't look back. While you driving you will get a sensation of a real car shifter. Metal construction, solid clunk, and the heavy knob is a perfect combination. I made a quick video showing where to apply grease. Only 4 screws and you are in. :D

Ascher wanted to release one, but they currently redesigning the h pattern, because they wasn't happy with the first version... but yeah no information at the moment what so ever x)

Thank, I think I will go for the fanatec one, the sequential mode I wont use because I have a aiologs sequential shifter, which is perfect.
Gonna sell my th8a with ricmotechmod :)
