One last change to shared memory today.

Updated .h and .cs files in OP

    • added position_class (current slot) and place_class (driver array)
    • upped minor version to 5

Note : this position in class takes the performance index into account, so will merge for example the Audi Sport TT Cup 2015 and 2016, ADAC and GTR3 etc.

Also, the update is going to be 13GB?
What are you putting in it?

(Yes, I have read the development notes).

Think of it as a christmas present. Part of the fun is not knowing whats in it.

After watching Georg last night, I have to say I'm a tad bit excited about this update. The new browser overlay hud is fantastic but what I didn't catch was, does the hud grid spread over all 3 screens in triples?

    One question regarding
    7. Support web-based in-game overlays

Will it be possible to see customized HUDs in VR?

I would like to see the Lambo, Ferrari and Honda brands at ADAC.
And after the last BOP, did he have to leave the Mercedes so strong?

Exactly. It’s 2019. Direct drive wheels are quickly becoming the norm. Nice to read such a huge update but I would find it more logical if further development goes more towards improving (direct drive) tyre model/ roadfeel/ FFB - hence things that improve the core realism of the driving physics, which now seems the case.

I would love to buy a DD wheel but I have my CSW v2,5 just a few months and have use a while longer.

Once you go DD you never go back. Do not try it! (highly recommended):p

Actually, DD wheels are still a very small niche in the steering wheels market which is also a niche in the simulation hardware market, but it starts to get more interest from the simracers than in the last two years.
The price of this hardware will probably keep it in a quite restricted number, unless it drops suddenly, but given the quality of the parts, I doubt that will happen soon.

With the amount of people I see waiting for their bases to show up from Fanatec and Simucube I think that's about to change. Once you try a DD you will never go back. I never thought id drop 2600 dollars on a wheel base but Im waiting for my Simucube Ultimate to show up next week now. DD bases are no longer mostly a I Racing thing.

Just because a few enthusiasts play with them doesn't mean anything for the overall market. It wouldn't surprise me if there's more people playing RaceRoom with a keyboard or XBox controller than any type of wheel.
