    First rookie DD1 question just to be sure.
    On my CSL Elite I had wheelbase sens at AUTO and that also matched the steering wheel animation.
    Now on my DD1 AUTO doesn't match this and I have to manually adjust it (in this case 540 degrees for a GT3 car).

    Do you experience the same?

    Thx for the support!

    I never used auto sens , because most of the time I use 540 and the other 4 presets for different degrees. But I think this will be fixed in future updates from R3E, they also working with a Fanatec DD (at least thats what I saw on pictures ;D )

    You can take the CSL Elite PS 4 RCS file, edit the device ID so it matches with that from your DD, rename the file and the first line with the name of your wheelbase and you should be good to go.

    Thanks for your help. Never too old to learn from my side.

    Another one: as far as I know at this moment R3E (and other sims besides Rf2) did not publish an update for 'native' Fanatec Podium yet #soonish. Do you have to change to CSW compatability mode although it works on default PC mode?

    Just ordered the DD1 before the price hike , looking forward to it .

    I honestly thought there would be a profile in r3e for it as the devs do have one.

    It's been out a week and 99.9% of RR users don't care, so it's probably not a very high priority.

    Put it into CSW compatibility mode , should work fine until sector 3 put a profile in .

    I don’t have one until next month but I’ve been reading a bit about it .

    No need to put it in compatibility mode or reduce steering rotation or adjust profiles - just do the below and select auto on the base

    Another user posted this - I’m just copying and pasting - it does work without issue.

    Go to

    ..\Steam\steamapps\common\raceroom racing experience\Game\GameData\General
    Edit steering_wheels.xml

    Add in:

    <key type="uint32">462519</key> <!-- FANATEC Podium Wheel Base DD2-->
    <value>
    <vendorSpecificRangeLock type="bool">true</vendorSpecificRangeLock>
    <minWheelRange type="uint32">90</minWheelRange>
    <maxWheelRange type="uint32">1080</maxWheelRange>
    <alwaysCreateEffects type="bool">true</alwaysCreateEffects>
    <supportsSpringEffect type="bool">true</supportsSpringEffect>
    <supportsDamperEffect type="bool">true</supportsDamperEffect>
    </value>

    Not sure if the key will be the same (462519) but if not, go into your RCS controller file
    Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData\ControlSet\YourFilehere.rcs
    Grab the ID from here:
    DeviceName[00]="FANATEC Podium Wheel Base DD2"
    DeviceId[00]="(462519, -1, -1, 0)"

    And change it in the steering_wheels.xml

    It will then automatically change DOR based on the vehicle, when set to auto ;)
    Not had a prob mapping things though. Just been dialing in my ffb settings, but loving it so far.

    Interesting, i am not seeing that on my DD2. When I go to advance options and it shows my throttle,brake, clutch and steering inputs the slightest movement of the wheel produces movement in the graph. The only odd thing I’ve noticed is the hard stop for steering rotation isn’t very hard and squishy (more so than the csw v2 I was using).

    I’ll double check my dead zone on the wheel though and send you a PM if I see anything.

    My DD1 doesn't have a deadzone at all, same as @ndwthx1138 , slightest movement is registrated.
    Same feeling with the hard stop, with the CSW 2.5 the hard stop was much stronger and directly, now it's more like a soft stop :D

    yeah slightest movement is registered but on the audi tt rs vln, wich is a car im doing a championship now, feels like the car itself has a deadzone and on CSW it didnt.. not saying its the wheel :)

    Is there any professional review up with a comparison to other direct drive wheels?

    C:\Users\<your user name>\Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData\ControlSet

    @HomieFFM Why can't the 4 holes on the front not be used for mounting? Judging by the looks, they seems to have the same measurements as the mounting holes on the ClubSport V2 base.
