DTM 2016 question

Hey guys,
Quick question. I noticed that when driving the DTM 2016 Audi (purchased single car) and I crash hard, there is no visible damage. I have both mechanical and visible damage turned on, but nothing visual appears.
However, when I drive the ADAC GT 2018 cars (full pack) and I crash, there is visible and mechanical damage. Does this mean the DTM's have no damage model?

Are you sure you've adjusted it right (ingame settings) ? You need to crash relatively hard to get some aero/ engine/gearbox damage damage, depends on the angle as well and which part of the car made the impact, but normally it is visible and affects your car....try again !Harder !

Interesting. I've hit the wall at full throttle and the hood/bumper never came off.
I'm motivated now to try harder...LOL

 

I watched a lot of Mad Max and played a lot of Carmageddon when i was a kiddo, hence the skill

 

Bit confused now, cause S3 just increased the damage sensivity a few patches ago (DTM16). Before it was almost impossible to wreck your car, since then we had some victims at our league who had moderate crashes only...strange !
