    I personally dont notice any visible pixels, but I dont own any 4K monitor, so maybe Im just used to FHD screens so it dont bother me at all. Also Im using this screen only for racing as its mounted in rig and not for anything else.

    As this is 144Hz display its of course best to have 144+ fps in game for best results, which is unfortunately not easy to get in this resolution.
    Currently on my 980Ti I have around 70-90fps in a full grid Online race. Its not ideal and I can notice that its not very smooth, mainly when I do some sharp corners so there is a lot of movement on display fps drops little bit. But I dont want to set the graphics to the lowest and have ugly looking game just to have +10fps.
    I believe with 1080Ti you get decent fps not to have any of these problems. 2080Ti is about 30-40% more powerfull than 1080Ti, but the price is just crazy.

    Also if RaceRoom will switch to modern engine in future, its hard to tell how many fps we get then.
    For me 3840 x 1080p and 1080Ti is the best combo in terms of value/performance now.

    nice, thank you, I bought this monitor this summer for 800€ but then I canceled my order because I thought a new monitor with 5120 x 1440 is even better, but its probably not :) to get only 60fps is not enough for a monitor in that scale. Now I will look around for a good offer and get it :) somewhere I found a news that Samsung will bring out a new 49" monitor with 5120 x 1440 p but with "only" 120 fps max. Perhaps its better to get a C49HG90DMU. I'm convinced now

    Are those monitors dedicated to gaming?

    Do you mean the Samsung C49HG90DMU? Or the new model that may come out later this year? The current one is a gaming monitor for sure. For desktop applications the current resolution with 3820*1080 is to low.

    I got one for 779€ from Amazon, but I still have no graphics card lol the RTX 2080 ti is hard to find and way toooooo expensive. Crazy year, the price of CPU's went up and down like a rollercoaster and Nvidia can not deliver their new cars

    Fabricators purposely winding down facilities, way before the end of there cycle. High demand for little stock, equals bulging fat cat pockets. Throw into the mix the now peaked out invisible money Miners and the plethora of AI R&D companies exploding on the scene and you kinda wonder, why wind up perfectly good fabrication plants, just when so many new silicon products are being released? Bet your sweet arse that AI developers won't go short of Silicon, be the home enthusiast that will suffer as usual.
    Graphics card companies have been developing predominantly for the AI industry for years now, poor old gamers are just a mere after thought these days, been moving at a snails pace forever. Would prefer it if they stopped releasing 50 versions of the same GPU , from 20 different companies and just get things moving again but where's the money in that, it's not as though game developers use half of the features available to them, almost as though the industry doesn't want to progress, just tread water.
    Sucks man!

    i have ingame on the Samsung 49p : 2580p upsacale to 3840p (Right 960p stretch + Center 1920P perfect + Left 960p stretch)
    its the same image that i have on the Samsung 34p 21/9 (but no strech zone image in this one)

    and rFactor 2 or Assetto Corsa Competizione are fine with it , no deform image in 32/9 format ingame

    Fantastic monitor. Was worth the money from my point of view. A lot of immersion.

                    <width type="int32">32</width>
                    <height type="int32">9</height>
                </DualInt>
                <Resolutions>
                    <Resolution>
                        <width type="int32">3840</width>
                        <height type="int32">1080</height>
                    </Resolution>
                </Resolutions>

    Good news, freesync is now working with the latest Nvidia driver 417.71 WHQL. I have to do a comparison again but I think it looks much smoother and better now
