If I dropped down to 1 screen I would get a much better frame rate.. maybe.. the ram is really not enough. at idle the system is using 2gb. When i fire up race room, my PC gives me a big fat middle finger LOL. Want a bigger laugh?? .. I rebought Project Cars 2 for PC on the steam summer sale.. got the deluxe edition for $23.. that runs its, but is pretty terrible.. on Daytona road course , by my self i get 20 frames at max LMAO . I enjoy both titles as much.

That still hold true then ;-) because it is often a tie in productivity between 2700X and 3600
    https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-ryzen-5-3600/10.html
And go for 3700X if you want even more on productivity side.

I was just looking at them and there isnt much of a huge difference in speed base clock 3.6ghz to 3.7 from the 2700X and the 3700X. How ever the the 3700X does use less power. Plus the 2700X has the faster base clock.

Just to demonstrate how really CPU bound this test is, for me there is no difference in score between running my 1080 stock, and OCs with 160+ core, 500+ memory.

Running full screen gives me 20 FPS higher average and 9 FPS higher minimum.

Thanks for the results, but we would like everyone to stick to the same convention with the pictures of the results and cpu-z before adding them to the list, that way we can more easily pick up on any accidental differences :D

While fps is common, using "time" is better for performance analysis.
A 10 fps difference for high fps numbers is little time, but for low fps can be a lot.
That's why developers typically profile in milliseconds.

Yeah for VR we always talk about frametimes anyway :D, added a column so we have both on there

While we are talking about the performance, just want to touch up on the new Nvidia 2070 super and 2080 super. One of them is SUPER ripoff when it comes to Price vs Performance. Please compare the two you and will see why. Please correct me if I am wrong. Australian dollars in this case.

No sure if this plays any role but this benchmark was run with Nvidia G-sync enabled. Also disabled OC on the GPU.
    • CPU: Intel i7 9700K
    • CPU OC: 4.6 GHz
    • Memory: 16GB DDR4-3200 MHz Dual
    • Memory timings: CL17-18-18-36

I think it is best to stick to the original settings while testing.

I chose the 2070 Super because it's basically a re-branded, slightly toned-down 2080 for less money, while the 2080 Super sits somewhere between the old 2080 and the 2080 Ti in terms of performance, but I don't need that anyway.

Awesome! As I can see in the List, your system is near mine.
And I have 200 Mhz more on CPU and 200 Mhz more on RAM.

Have you done some other magic to your System?

@Not Lifting Off PC is far ahead mine although. Don't know, why.

You should definitely look at your memory settings in the bios! I assume you have memory rated higher than 2133 MHz, could get some significant performance out of higher speeds :D

    apologies for off topic (ish)

Are Sector3 looking at ways to add DX11 to their engine?

rF2 with DX11 + open composite allows me to have much more visual settings (level 2 AA, shadows, medium/ high track details) and run VR smoothly in my old rig (i5 6600k GTX 10606gb) than what RRE can. In RRE i have to run almost all settings at low or i get 45 ASW with negative headroom and lots of stutter.

The talk about advanced rendering methods and stuff in the WTCR 2019 topic gives me hope that secretly they are.:D Even SCS Soft added experimental DX11 support to their truck sims now!
