Other Hillclimb guess would be THE ONE: Pikes Peak as VW IDR raced there too. Or even Goodwood. Remember, this picture only shows one of four/five tracks being worked on. Let's hope for some cool stuff
Poliphony Digital has an exclusive licence for Pikes Peak, so we won't see it in racing games other than Gran Turismo for a while...
That is true, I just saying based on as the US goes, they would be tracks i would like to see; especially with raceroom adding tracks that well known of that never make it into games. We can all agree there are some track all over the world we would like to see in raceroom but we cant have em all. Agreed, the Canadians need some love.
If we go by that, we can say: 'Oh, South America&Middle America miss too' 'Well, Mid East and Africa shouldn't be a miss' 'Don't forget Australia and New Zealand' 'Tracks from the past are important, too' 'Why only Sweden? What about other Scandinavian Tracks?' 'Did we just miss Poland?!' 'Let's not forget about our favourites in Antarctica' 'We need all British Tracks' 'Whoa, how can it be that this game doesn't have the small dirt oval in my backyard?!' In my opinion, we only need tracks that are important for the current game/sim that is R3E: Tracks from WTCR that will still be in the schedule for some years, as S3 has this license since centuries (and hopefully will still have it for some more years) Tracks that are used by the other Classes in R3E ->Problem 1: GTR3 cars race everywhere, you can't have all of them ->Problem 2: There we go, classic tracks that do not exist anymore 'cause FrX90 and Group C is in the game So, S3 need to find tracks that: Differ from what we already have in the game (We do not need fifty kart circuits and one Monza ish track is enough) Are easy to get a license for/already have contact with R3E (Talking about Tilke...pls not too much of them ) Tracks most of the classes in R3E run or have run (Classic Spa is out, but race your Group 5 around the modern Spa and Hockenheim and Zolder-today's competitions use them too) Tracks that can be easy to build in the game (you have to visit the track, have enough footage from racecar onboards, get a sense of the athmosphere, Take enough photos and videos from more than one weekend, Talk to the owners...) We just get what S3 think is economically good for the sim. Of course we needed Nordschleife: WTCR, GT3, GT2, GT4, and historic cars run there. Every sim needs it. It's a legend and it will stay. It's located in Europe so we can give it a roadtrip and we know the owners well because we already have the GP layout. Think about these points and then guess what track is going to get implemented. We all have hopes, but these are for the wishlists. Greetings
To my previous post: Yes we got some 'interruptions', but I can tell you why: Stowe: If Silverstone is in, we can take it as well, once we been here... Some Swedish tracks: Already got them in Race07, it's fairly easy to implement and we are a swedish company Zuhai: Tilke redesigned this one and LMP and Formula race there Portimao: Cool track and some races happen there. Let's give it for free (Hopefully, Portimao's time will come ) Raceroom Raceway: Let's test what Tracks we can build and test the Ai, also it's somewhat of a representation of the game/company
That's right. We already have 5x US tracks but not a single track of the "Maple Leaf Flag" country. One of the reasons why I suggested the "Circuit Mont-Tremblant" for R3E. It's one of the best North America road courses, but it's almost unknown within the sim racing community / sim racing market. So in contrast to the well-known and very popular "Canadian Tire Motorsport Park", the license fees should be manageable for a "small and restricted" team like Sector 3. … ??? No idea … With best wishes, yours truly, TrackNerd
If we go this wish route, I want to point out that, even though we got a Lausitzring upgrade (New GP Course available), we are still not there where we could be with this facility. What about the Motorcycle Pit entry the DTM uses? But more important, the Full Course with the Test Oval next to the Ring would be cool. over 12km with high banked curves and various chicanes. A dream would come true...
Wonder if S3 is going to trick us by releasing a new fantasy track. We would guess and still not get to the correct one Greetings
I used this track in Grand Prix Legends and it's very challenging, especially due to the elevation changes. The first right hander is very hard to master. Just have a look:
A further great advantage of the track are the amount of track objects. Over 90% of them are just trees and some mountains in the background, and trees, and trees, and trees, ... a very sim friendly track design.
I can see my self bombing the bridge turn a lot. Uphill corners that crest are very tricky... especially if you are new to it.
