I'm abit confused about this hub what it's actual use's are for? also can it be used on a 2.5 base purley for extending the shaft lenght but still using lets say teh mclaren rim still?
It's actually a new and cheaper version (200Euro) of the X Box Universal Hub (350Euro)... and it is modular, so you can extend it with Magnetic shifters and upcoming stuff like the Porsche Button Box or even third party productions. So it's mainly used to connect any steering wheel and moduls you want with the wheelbase. The Mclaren rim doesn't need the podium hub, because it's already a complete rim with quickrelease adapter
Just installed my new seq. Shifter. One of those you possibly seen on ebay ~200USD from China. Pretty good piece of metal, looks rock solid, adjustable in many ways. Had to move my button box and my TH8A more to the right to get some space for the shifter. The USB controller that came with it was removed and the shifter is now plugged directly to my T300. Works perfect!
Wonder if my wife thinks the same? That would explain why she says I spend too much time on the toilet..

With a delay of two years, I am finally complete again: wheel, pedals, VR since two years, and since Monday: shifter! So much for quick migrating from G27 and single screen to Fanatec and virtual reality.
Sharing latest Top Panel add-on: I've posted this topic on a Facebook group as well so if you have already seen it, just ignore this one. Top panel job done. This project, in particular, is an important add-on (for me personally) in order to achieve very immersive visuals and experience. Must admit been going through some serious frustration, trails and errors, spent so many dollars because I did not really know what I was doing and so there was a huge learning curve. It may look simple and easy but that wasn't the case. I failed so many times, wasted 3 MDF panels, 2 cans of glue, 3m carpet, 6 cans of spray paint, got bashed by wife and more... After all that bullcrap I've worked it all out, cut to size and went to see an upholsterer for a good finish and look. The panel is supported by 3 hinges, 2 gas struts, Industrial grade synthetic leather/vinyl and a couple of extrusion profiles. Originally I wanted in black but it didn't look good from inside. Grey colour blended perfectly with the virtual rooftop and cannot be any better. The top panel is sitting 10mm above the monitors to allow airflow and eliminate heat. A few photos attached for your reference. Someone said sim project never complete, there is always something and its true. Note that for some reason my camera is showing brownish color instead of grey? Anyway you get the idea.
