Is there a way to backup the R3E installation so that I don’t have to download approx 34gb of data over again? Using the steam backup and restore function doesn’t seem to work as when steam completes the install from the steam backup it still wants to download approx 15gb of data. If I understand correctly steam should backup the particular game in its current version and then say 6 months later I need to install it again or on a different pc it should only need to download whatever updates were made to the game since the last backup was made. Could I just bypass the steam backup feature and just copy the entire steam install directory where the game itself is installed and then once copied to an external source then copy it from the external source to the new pc/re-installation.

Yes you can, because that's exactly what I do whenever I format my PC. :)

Thanks for your reply, when I get a chance I’ll try that.
