While Dubai Autodrome is fun to drive, I can agree with you. I can also understand the choice of it. Either one of their partners wants it in or it could be the budget that decide. Let's say if Dubai cost 10 000 euro and Le mans 100 000 euro. While Le mans would sell more but if everyone buys it and it only goes to 50 000 euro its a substantial loss. On the other hand if only 50% buy Dubai amounting to 25 000 euro, they would still have a good profit. It's a business in the end. I have been here long enough to know that the devs are huge racing fans and I'm pretty sure they want the big name racing circuits as well, they might just not have the budget for it. I'm hoping that they will prove me wrong about it and that it will be announced one day.
I say lets have a Dubai 24h, tcr GT3, cup Porsche. What is the probleem with Sepang? I Just love the place! Yes there ar tracks that we "need" more bit you nerver van have to many tracks i always say.
You´re right, I will drive the track in mulitclass races like the 24h series. Dubai looks very well from many onboards in real, so it will be nice to drive in R3E . In future it´s nice to have tracks like Le Mans, Daytona, Brandshatch GP, but we will see what they are able to do. Sepang is good, but not my favorite, I like Most from the ADAC GT Masters.
Dubai is a bit like those other modern track like Sepang, Shanghai,.... It's a bit meh when they announce it and you've never driven on it. But once you try it and learn to know it a bit better, it's a really good track. I used it a lot with PC2 and i really like it.
Well I should start racing laps on the track in pcars then. I drove it once but I did not get hooked. Perhaps I need to give it some more laps...
Oh wow Dubai, my guess way off. My guess was tianmen hillclumb as its scaringly seems to be getting forgotten lol. Happy about Dubai as the speedy F1 cars suited it very well in Project Cars. I can imagine taking the P1's and ID.R when it comes along will be fun.
I think Dubai Autodrome will be a good addition. It have a couple of good corners. Some elevation changes and a good flow to it. There are also a couple different layouts to give it some variation. It fits well to alot of the cars that we have ingame.
Just made a 1:53.399 with the Lister Storm at Dubai GP 2004 in GTR2. It's a fun track and I have forgotten how much fun it will be with others
The first race I saw live from Dubai in television was the first ever round of the short-lived GP2 Asia series back in 2008. And it's funny, because both races were won by a certain Romain Grosjean in quite spectacular fashion. Nowadays, it's almost embarassing to admit that I've been a fan of his since then, at the time, everyone tought he will be the next F1 star, but now people are going mad because he re-signed with Haas.
I don't have the nevada map, finding it quite small and barely used online. Not much value for the money.
