Mapping more than one button to gear up/down

Greetings!

Is this possible?

I am using a Logitech G27 racing wheel (in sequential mode) and - as i am racing with different cars every time - i would like to be able to use BOTH my wheel's paddles AND my gear shifter to change gears.

In other words would like to:

For GEAR UP action => map wheel's right paddle + gear 4 in my shifter
For GEAR DOWN action => map wheel's left paddle + gear 3 in my shifter

PS This doesn't need to be done for all buttons. Only for gear up/down

 

Pretty sure it is not possible to have alternates.

 

That would be nice though (+night/day and weather effects transition)

 

Maybe with the new DX Version end of the year?

Just kidding, but I'm also requesting this feature in another thread and few others too.

Maybe it's not so easy to implement those alternative button feature as it looks.

Yup, same here, joy2key is a must if you have a lot of shifters!

 

what annoys me with joy2key, you can autostart it, but you still have to click at it once in order to load the setup.

It would be so nice if Sector3 could implement those extra up and down shift buttons ;(

 

You should be able to do this with the Logitech Profiler. You can make the paddles report the shifter "buttons" or vice versa.

I have a custom G27 profle for RRE that loads custom buttons (keyboard keys on my wheel and shifter unit) that activates only during RRE--no having to remember to turn it on or off.
(More details: I have the lower left button on the wheel set as a shift button, then all the other buttons set to keyboard keys which doubles my available buttons. In your case, the shifter positions are just buttons.)
