Just picked up this game and I'm blown away by how good the physics and audio is. How did I never hear about this game?!

Who is running the Thrustmaster TS-PC or TS-XW and has some good settings? I am looking to get more feel up front in the Porsche vehicles that feel almost weightless Porsche 934, 964, etc. Please share ideas.

Increase ffb multiplier in car setup menu.

Take a look at the understeer setting in your ffb settings. High understeer settings are known to cause the steering feeling light. There is a key binding option for a ffb monitor. I highly advise to use the ffb monitor and increase the ffb with the multiplier for max strength without clipping for every car individually.

Those settings are a very good starting point and work nicely on thrust master wheels as well:

    Edit:

And don't forget to check out Thomas Jansen's setup guide for the Porsches:

A good setup with correct tyre pressures increases ffb feel

Excellent Thanks guys. I will give these setting tweaks a try when I get home. For the record, almost every other car feels accurate to me aside from the Porsche's. I love the way the 1992 DTM cars handle. Decided to try the 964 last night and it was almost undriveable. The front end did not feel like any Porsche I've ever driven.

Oh? What does that mean? Physics changing or the cars are going away?

Definitely, the fanatec default profiles are what I use on my v2.5 now, I will expand on it more tomorrow hopefully, also sharing the settings for other wheels if someone wants to try them. FFB is highly subjective as always though!

Heck, first tested all new cars with my existing TM profile and wasn't too happy. Then read about resetting, and whoa, made a difference... On the bad side, my VRP is reduced :(

I'd be very interested in this (G27 for me!) - one of the most anxiety provoking things about a big change like this is I'm wondering "does this feel like it's supposed to... what if it doesn't..." so getting a good set up from someone who knows how it 'should' feel would be a comfort.

Totally agree about subjective nature of FFB. In fact I read somewhere that our brains have to learn to interpret the new FFB sensations and what they mean. Hence the loss of connection with the cars a lot of us are feeling today. The idea is that after (quite) a few laps we start to subconsciously interpret the FFB again and it starts to feel more natural.

I totally agree on that last part, as long as the ffb has some kind of relation to what is happening in game, you will adapt to those cues of what feeling means what is happening with the car. There is no ‘right’ setting in general, and is why you almost always prefer the FFB from your most played sim.

Default CSWv2 profile is great , even car FFB multiplier for 92 DTM Merc is set perfectly , R32 Nissan (Touring Classics) was too low at 1.0 but raised to 3.0 ...perfection !

Glad to hear it! a default multiplier of 1.0 sounds like a bug, so will look into that :p

Start with new default profile. The default ffb settings are spot on with my tx wheel.
