The update has been fantastic and the AI are much more realistic to race against but they are still problematic on some tracks The common factor I'm seeing so far is that they go too wide and spin out The below test are done driving that Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car I'll update the problem tracks in this thread as I find them Chang International Circuit - Full Circuit T4 high speed RH bend they AI spin off the inside curb occasionally Hockenheimring - Grand Prix First lap first corner crashes every time Ai still a little to fast out of the last corner Hungaroring - Grand Prix Turn 5 leading up to the chicain the ai goes wide and spin out every lap Road America - Grand Prix AI always go too wide in the fast right hand kink after the carousel and hit the grass and spin Sonoma Raceway - WTCC ai spin each other through the chicane Imola - Grand Prix Between turn 18 and 19 ai go wide and spin every lap Turn 1 to a lesser extent These classes are good thru t18 & 19 WTCR 2019 WTC 2017 WTC 2013 These all spin out turn 18 and 19 GT3 GT4 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Porsche 911 Carrera Cup Classic GT2's frequently spin in the first chicain and turn 5 of the second chicain Suprisingly the GT2s didn't spin in T18 and 19! WTCR 2019 frequently go off track through the first chicain - strangely seems to get worse as you lower the AI level! Moscow Raceway - Full Only on the first lap in T1 the ai take too much inside curb and spin out ai frequently spin each other out on the last corner Motorsport Arena Oschersleben Between the last two corners near the pit entry the ai push each other too wide and spin Congrats on fixing the chicain as that was a nightmare before the patch Nurburgring - Grand Prix Fast Sometime spin in T1 Coming out of T6 they sometimes spin Coming out of T11 Kumho Kurve the ai go wide and spin most laps Coming out of T12 the sometimes spin Monza Circuit - Grand Prix ai sometimes go wide out of T5 ai quite often go too wide at T9 and either spin or loose control and slow Ningbo Ai seriously crash on at the start of the race through the first two corners every time Spa-Francorchamps - Grand Prix Turn 8 AI spin out but not too excessively AI seem a little too fast through turn 12 and 16 Twin Ring Motegi - Road Course Turn 2 AI spin off the track Start of the race is particularly bad every time Twin Ring Motegi - East Course ai are behaving themselves but I can just beat them at 120 which means they are a little slow as my ai level usually around 112 Circuit Park Zandvoort - Grand Prix Still too fast exiting the final corner onto the main straight Circuit Zolder - Grand Prix Cars regularly spin in first chicain Dubai Autodrome GP AI regularly bump and spin each other between T5-T6 AI sometimes exit/bimp too wide in T7 and spin AI way to slow through T10 and T12 in traffic EuroSpeedway Lausitz - Grand Prix AI spin T6 around 2 out of 5 laps Falkenberg Motorbana - Grand Prix ai spin in T1 and T2 Mantorp Park - Long ai regularly spin each other at T8 at the end of the back straight Mantorp Park - Short ai regularly spin or start to loose control and slow after hitting the first inside curb turning into the right hander off the back straight Mid Ohio - Full Ai spin in turn 4 at the end of the long back straight Paul Ricard - Solution 1C-V2 AI spin coming out of the first chicain , thru T6 and coming out of sweeping right hander T11 Paul Ricard - Solution 3C No ai incidents! but the ai is overall too slow. At 120 I'm just able to beat them Silverstone Grand Prix ai go off track wide in first corner spinning Portimao Circuit - Grand Prix No spinning ai! but the ai are too slow racing in a pack especially in T3 right hand hair pin and then the left hand hairpin at the end of the next straight When in a pack they leaders have a pace of around 1:50's but if one breaks free it stats lapping 3 seconds faster. This also results in strange qualifying times as whilst qualifying that set extremely fast times placing me near the back but with in 2-3 laps I can catch up to the top 5 RaceRoom Raceway - Classic Too slow at 120; I can go from last to 1st in 10 laps But in qualifying the ai are about 3-4 seconds faster than the race pace which means I always qualify near the back I suspect they slow each other down driving in a pack Slovakia Ring - Grand Prix Turn 1 first lap the ai spin out apart from that it's pretty good Sepang Circuit - Grand Prix ai badley hold each other through hairpins at T2 & T9 ai too fast through T6, T6 and T8 ai spin every lap exiting T12 Shanghai Circuit - Grand Prix ai always spin at the end the long first turn Zhuhai - Grand Prix ai reasonable well behaved but at 120 strength they are too slow; feels like I need them to be at around 124 to be competative General Observations Whilst the AI now brake later and are harder to pass under braking, they are now too slow thru mid corner and exit; especially whilst in traffic
thanks matt we know , some tracks we are having to do corner by corner run throughs reteaching the ai as such , this will get sorted Andi
Thanks Andy I can certainly feel your improvements with the update; the ai is much more consistent around a circuit do you want me to keep reporting the areas that need your tweaking?
Hey having this problem on Silverstone most of the cars go wide first corner and spin out Happens on dtm 92 wtcr 19 and gt3 from what I have tested so far
Nurburgring GP - are spinning or creating accidents in T1 on almost every circle among themselves. Also do not notice the player. DTM 2016.
Some AI cars are not using the inside of the Karussel on the NoS properly in races, they're driving a bit to much outside and popping out of the steep section. (GTR3) Maybe worth, noting.
Had some races at Imola and Nürburgring (new version) with the AI. Imola was problematic, they often overshot turn 1 and/or spun there (tried the GTOs). At the Nürburgring the AI often spun at Turn 10 (the one after the fast Michael-Schumacher-S). Drove the DTM92 cars here at 100% difficulty.
I have tested the AI only on the Nordschleife so far. Feels way better than the old AI. I don't drive into their back any longer sometimes they brake at spots where you normally don't brake. For instance the second jumb (L-31) on the Nordschleife. BMW M4. What I also noticed it they behave different in partice mode or a race. In a race they don't brake before the second big jumb. Perhaps it's part of the new plan it's not so predictable
ai car retires and it’s stationary off track all the ai cars slow down when passing the retired car lap after lap
