The distances are not linear. They represent what my Navi told me how far I actually had to travel. I live in Alsbach, a small town right between Frankfurt and Heidelberg...

I'm not quite sure if I am excited about the announced RSR or not. To be honest I really don't know what to expect. Is it going to be similar to the GT3 Porsches? If I count the old RUF I already own 3 of them. I know the RSR is in another class but looking at its pure specs there's not that much difference... I'm glad we have the possibility to test-drive new cars, so I think this time I'll make use of that, before hitting that 'buy' button...
Found a nice comparison - unfortunately only in german http://addicted-to-motorsport.de/basis-porsche-911-die-rennfahrzeuge-im-vergleich/

A bit on topic: We all forget the fastest oval in Europe: VENRAY oval. Close to the german-dutch border.

Is it true that only the Daytona Road Course track will me made available? Nevertheless I will buy it anyway ;)

I thought the same. I was watching the quali for Daytona 24, am I right in thinking the Porsche in GTLM class is the one in the update? If so that 4.2 litre flat 6 sounds incredible! I hope we get some that in game :D

The RSR is compared to the GT3R a different car. GT3R have a rear engine, RSR have Mid Engine, GT3R have 4,0l and RSR have a complete new 4,2l engine with new side exhaust. GTE class have more downforce, you can run faster in corners, I think.

The guys from Ironforce Racing sad on a video, that the 911 GT3R is the old RSR (2017-2019) they share many technology by Porsche. Thats why I´m happy to drive the RSR soon :). Here is a nice onboard sound:

I still haven't mastered the old 911 GT3R yet! I need to get some practice in and then move onto the new GT3R.

And I live an hour from Oulton Park, Donington Park and Croft which works well for me being a BTCC fan.

It's not all about DPi or GTLM/GT3 at Daytona. The GT4/TCR 4h right now are very entertaining as well. Looking forward to this circuit. These 24h are just there to tease us, I believe ;)

Please don't get me wrong, but the teaser picture of the start-finish line part looks a little bit strange in my view.

As you can see in the image below, the track change smoothly from the flat to the banked part:
    daytona_01.png

And now take a look at the teaser picture, here you can see a very short and hard transition between the flat and banked part:
    daytona_02.jpg

I hope it's just a problem of the pov or a beta picture of the track, otherwise it would be a serious problem for all cars on the outside line near the wall, which will always make jumps on the start-finish line at higher speeds.

Whoa, I was enjoying the cruise until the LMP simply overtook the RSR at the last corner :D

Great news. Been itching for both for some time.
If both are released on the same day then this would be awesome.

Great track choice!!! :) :D

Just on the tri-oval, I for one would be rather disappointed if it is not an included layout. As you can see below you only need two teeny weeny straight bits to complete it (turns 8 to 11 / 1 to 6) if you've already made the sports car course. With all three banked corners already included there can be no issues with set ups or AI or... anything really.

    Fingers crossed.:p
