    Same here! I only swapped the DLL, but SteamVR has to run to get an image to the headset. Starting with „steam.exe launch (id) vr“.

    You have to copy the ini and edit it as described in first post. Both go to the x64 folder, where the dll overwrites another. If you then start the x64 variant with -vr extension, there is no trigger that would start steamvr. Running since ages here.

    Ah okay, so I have to use the „legacy“ - vr parameter? Will try later, just had read the DLL part, thanks! Just to be sure: This is not an Oculus only thing and also works with the Index?

    Thanks!

    Well, not here. Game starts without SteamVR and shows the RaceRoom thumbnail after that no Rift display and monitor only. This is starting both 64bit.exe. Here's my opencomposite.ini:

    supersampleRatio=1.0
    enableLayers=true
    enableCubemap=false
    threePartSubmit=true
    useViewportStencil=true
    dx10Mode=true

    Hello guys, open composite sounds interesting but where do I find the post with the description of how to set it up?

    Sorry, just to be clear: Does this also work for Valve Index or only for Oculus?

    I‘ve got error 3001 when starting the game.

    Yes.
    Also I tried all 4 available versions:
    "OpenComposite_tiwm_1.0.0.0_Release
    OpenComposite_tiwm_1.0.0.0_ReleaseAVX2
    OpenComposite_tiwm_1.0.1.0_Release
    OpenComposite_tiwm_1.0.1.0_ReleaseAVX2"
    with no luck.
    To my surprise it's working as intended for rfactor2
    So what am I doing wrong that it's not working in R3E?

    Look at my hardware. I also have to say that RRE runs best under VR. Everything tested except for iRacing. I'm testing legacy mode tonight too .

    That is very strange.
    I’ve uploaded mine here:

    Hopefully you can download it, unzip and copy it to proper location. This are the files I'm using here.

    Odd, I have open composite and run RRE fine with it

    I dont use any launch commands

    Lower down the page
    "Per-game installation
    Download the DLLs: 32-bit 64-bit "

    The Oculus home does its thing and the game will load.

    Im on the older Rift CV1

    is this also enabled in your oculus app?

    Thank you guys :)
    but no with your files, @FormelLMS, it didn't work either.
    Just to make sure, this is my path:
    ...Steam\SteamApps\common\raceroom racing experience\Game\x64
    hope that's correct?

    Now i remember why i didn't try OpenComposite in RaceRoom: "Unknown config option enableCubemap on line 3" error message with the settings above:

    supersampleRatio=1.0
    enableLayers=true
    enableCubemap=false
    threePartSubmit=true
    useViewportStencil=true
    dx10Mode=true

    What does that mean? Am I not the only person where this OpenComposite won't work?
