Hi guys. I thought I'd start this topic as surely, surely there's a good number of us who are into building and collecting model cars. Myself, I'm a huge fan of 1/43 models, especially Provence Moulage & Starter kits. I've got rather a large collection which I've built over the last 15 years.
Just bought the Aston Martin couple weeks ago still waiting..But i also do a ton of WW2 battleships and Plane's Moostly Geman
Thats the only thing i have (pls need gr5 update ), except dismantled bburago lambo diablo i bought for 0.25$ and never repaired. I always check new greenwoods by hotwheels, but after so many years there were only 2 licensed ones
I've got quite a large collection of 1:18 scale cars. Ive got the full Senna collection (first editions) including the 2 really rare ones. Then I started to collect World Champions....still some way to go with those. I have a few rally cars too. Whatever takes my fancy really. They are all in safe storage at the moment until I get around to building a display case for them. Wife keeps suggesting I sell them but thats not happening....I daren't tell her how much theyre all worth!!
I'm more focused on airplanes, but I got a few cars build Too bad simracing is sucking away most of the free time I got, so not much left for scale modeling. Renault R5 and Ford Fiesta RS
I was in Nanterre (near Paris) to see the start of the 1979 Monte-Carlo rally and I saw this Renault 5 driven by Guy Fréquelin...
I've build a 935 Porsche with Vailant Livery (Bob Wolleck), have to see if I can find it... Greetings
Such a great driver, using a great car for a great team! I remember seeing him live during the 1983 Le Mans 24 hours; he was giving an interview to the french TV when he saw his Joest Porsche 956, driven by Klaus Ludwig, go into the fences at the Tertre Rouge corner, at the entry of the Mulsanne straight (ligne droite des Hunaudières, in french). He was exhausted by his stint, if I remember well, and I felt as sad as him while Klaus Ludwig was trying to extract the car from the fences (what he finally achieved).
I hope you guys don't mind that I extend the topic a bit by posting pictures of modelcars which might not be considered modelcars by everybody... Since I was a kid I'm a huge Lego technic fan. I had lots of sets and learned quite a bit about how things work in real life by building according to building instructions, but especially by creating own builds. I came back to that hobby a few years ago, as my son started being interested in all kinds of cars. So I like to share some of our own creations. Hope you like it.
I used this + some white pigments. https://acrylicosvallejo.com/en/producto/hobby/weathering-effects-en/snow-73820/ This was my first, and only time messing with snow
But it wasn't your first time messing with cobble stone, was it? That road looks extremely good. I can almost hear that sound of the tires rumbling over it
you guys inspired me with all those custom builds, im on fire here's greenwood corvette with diablo engine and rear (i rly gotta fix that poor lambo)
My collection is rather small and nothing super fancy there. Most of those I bought on AliExpress, apart from Lego Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Renault R27 and Ferrari 360. Maybe Renault has some cool background - ING was giving away they those to employees when they terminated sponsorship Only 911 got somewhat proper photoshoot More: https://imgur.com/gallery/QW7aMN2 It's also modified with LED lights, don't have a photo of it though.
Yeah, I've found the same (or similar) model on AliExpress, I was on the fence about buying it a few months ago. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000743271496.html
