Hey Guys, I have this problem since about 2 years and always thought that it will be patched. But I still get following Bug nearly every secound time I start the game: To fix this bug, I have to leave the race, take another car or load another game mode. After that I can go back and use the car that I actually wanted. It doesn't matter which car. It doesn't matter which track. It randomly appears after I start the game. And while I'm at it posting bugs, there is a mistake with the Group C cars: Number 830 instead of 83 Somtheing else I expirienced: I Bought the Pro Pack, which includes the older Porsche GT3 and also the BMW M6. But 2 Skins of the BMW and all Skins beside one of the Porsche were missing eventhough I purchased them. After that I purchased the whole GTR3 Group to get them all. Now I have the missing BMW Skins but still no skins for the Porsche. Is that a Bug or am I doing something wrong? Also I was baffled when I saw that I don't have the Nissan GT-R GT1 anymore. I also own the Premium Pack and also raced the car against a friend. But the good thing is you always fix problems very fast so I'm not worrying the slightes. Thanks for your great work, guys!
Hi, could you point the problem with the mirror please? What exactly isn't working the way it should?
Took me a couple times too until i got it But the mirror is mirrored. You see the pit wall on the right side of the mirror when it should be on the left side and vice versa for the garages
@Mid Night - I have 1 question for you: What is that FOV value you're using, it seems very very high FOV and might be causing the mirror bug. I'd like to know which value you set it to so we can try and repro. At least it works here with a normal FOV:
I use the Standart hood cam. Never changed any parameter. Also it happened yesterday with the new Cupra car at Imola. Also Standart hood cam without changed parameters
Your Field of View is definitely a lot wider than normal. Can you verify the FOV multiplier in your game settings please? It's accessible through the settings page (top right of the main menu, the button with "gears") then "Video Settings" page. You should see it at "1x"
FOV was at x1.3 so I changed it to x1. But today I got this bug again. so it doesnt has to do with the FOV.
The mirror is also much bigger than the default one. Could it have something to do with custom HUDs? @Mid Night, try resetting your HUD to default. You can find/set the button for that in Control Settings - Edit Assignments - "Gameplay" section: Reset HUD elements.
Try this - first remove whatever startup arguments you have for the Web/Otterhud; whatever it takes to stop it running on game launch. Then go into your.... C:\Users\*your_name*\Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience ....folder and make a copy/backup of the 'UserData' folder and keep it safe. Now delete the UserData folder. Now fire up RaceRoom - it will rebuild the UserData from scratch and restore the default settings. See if that cures it. If not just replace the new UserData folder with your backup.
Thanks for this Idea. I tried it but I still have this issue. But as already said, I have this problem since years but I have this webhub since 3 months. So it can't be the issue.
What happens when the bug occurs and you press the "Reset HUD elements" button? What happens if you press "Move & resize HUD elements" button? Can you move/resize this bugged mirror?
Yesterday the bug reappeared. Reset Hud Elements button didn't do anything. Same with disabling and enabling the Hud elements via the menu. The RVM is still big and mirrored. Also I can't resize it.
