Well, it’s not suppose to be a sim tbf. I played a little Shift 2 when I was younger, doesn’t feel like anything we have now.
A lot of PC people never really called it one anyways

I don’t know. Although it is the same engine, they could decide to not support triple screens. :D

Nah, I don't buy their reasoning.

No fiddling, no wasting hours for setups, get right in the action - yet all they did was removing tire temps and wear and pit stops. Setups are still there and on top of that they added upgrades which apparently you have to earn with xp/credits first. I have nothing against a good new sim-cade but this just doesn't add up for me.

With all the talking about improvements in their tire model and how great it feels, it sounds more like a wasted potential than necessary simplifications to attract wider audience. Or rather that they are trying to hide some real reasons for these changes because they are afraid it won't be taken positively.

No problem with a Forza Motorsport Style PC. They proved 2 times that they could no deliver a ironed out simproduct, so maybe it is good to dump it down andconcentrate on fun not simstuff...

I hope at least we are able to do Qualisessions. If not it would be 100 % pass by me.

That's the point. Newcomers and occasional players aren't going to race for an hour anyway.

They are removing features that only affect people who don't mind having them; they make their game more limited in options and basically not sutable for anything longer than 30 minutes; and then they try to present it as something good and even as an improvement: no-no-no, we aren't removing anything important, it's just all "under the hood" now.

It says nothing about the quality of the final product (could be a great game) but I'm disappointed in this manipulative nature of their talking.

Maybe they want to sell the simulation stuff afterwards in a "get real"-dlc to grab some extramoney. I mean it's under the hood of Codemasters-"we sell you stuff what was already thereas dlc" now.

If Codemasters will make them add tire/fuel and pit stops, that would be an improvement. I'm pretty sure it was SMS who decided to remove all that, not Codies:

I’m by far a newcomer but I never race more than an hour in one race. I mostly race 10 lap races.

    You said,
it looks like you meant, if you're not a newcomer, you will play longer sessions.
This does not include me, that is all.
