It's a bit harsh when you don't do it on purpose, but the system can't tell the difference between High ping Losing internet due to outage Losing internet because the plug was pulled Rage quit Crash Etc So instead, the system assigns it a generic "disconnect" incident and gives you a penalty. But, with a few good races, you'll easily get that reputation back!
I tried the GTR3's at Daytona, punted from behind at turn one, right into the wall, 2 spins trying to return to pits, then thrown to oblivion and asked to close the door on my way through. Finding it harder and harder to even finish one of these races, let alone improving my ranking, Tiz one step forward and twenty backward. Has anyone thought of adding some sort of multiplier to the safety rating? As in a better safety rating incurs a smaller multiple of the mean, in the event of a misdemeanour, against a higher one for someone with a lower safety rating. Would have thought it's just a case of knocking up a spreadsheet, jiggling some variables and Bob's yer uncle and Fanny's a rude word! I of course jest, before Mr S has kittens BUT there needs to be a difference between someone who drives cleanly and has a SR to coincide with this (I am by no means implying myself), against the likes that Crew Chief keeps reminding of, "watch him behind, he eats live babies". If CC knows, then the API is telling him. I like the idea of the ranking system and it's made unranked races somewhat underwhelming in comparison BUT I'm not really enjoying them, or should I say they are rarely enjoyed.
Start dead last and get a grandstand seat for the first corner carnage then! I like the idea that anyone who accumulates a dozen incident points within say 10 seconds has their car go into ghost mode for 1 lap and loses 20% of their power for 10 seconds, kind of like a reverse P2P. That way we might avoid some of these first lap repeated incidents and the power loss would stop people using the ghost as an exploit to pass an evenly matched driver that they wold otherwise struggle to do so. Sounds a bit Mario Kart but then so is the system of getting points when being hit from behind...

Je m'explique: depuis le 19/01/21 j'ai participé à plusieurs parcours Classé mais plus je gagne de places par rapport à au départ de la course et plus je perd de Rating !! voila une photo de mon classement.
Salut! Ton ranking n'est pas fonction des places gagnés, mais de ta position à l'arrivée et ton ranking rélatif aux autres pilotes. Dans ton cas, tu as un ranking déjà elevé, il te suffit d'arriver derrière plusieurs pilotes avec des rankings moindres pour te faire perdre des points de ranking. Je ne pense pas que c'est injuste, c'est exactement la façon de l'algorithme arriver à classer correctement les gens relatifs uns auxs autres! Le plus rating tu as, le plus facile est de le perdre en match avec les autres. En plus, le rating d'autres pilotes peut être dévalué parce qu'ils sont neufs sur le jeu ou parce-qu'ils récouvrent d'une mauvaise course ou d'une coupure...
pourquoi pas, mais la ou je trouve exagéré c'est que moi j'ai perdu 13,... +13,...+14,...+32,...de rating et ça ça gâche tous le jeu pour moi, quand tu vois que tu gagne 1,2 ou 3 Rating par course et que tu en perd 10 fois plus juste parce que le gars qui a fini devant toi a un plus petit Rating que toi...Ben je trouve ça vraiment dommage.
Pour m'as part, le Rating ont devrais pas y touché, il monte parce que le pilote roule régulièrement OK part contre sanctionné sur la réputation la je suis d'accord car sans réputation pas de course classé. imagine, le gars il roules toute une semaine , il fait monté sont Rating de 30 ou 40 points et la il roule contre un gars avec un rating moindre et paff l'autre il perd 30 Rating en ayant gagnée 10 places sur ça position de départ alors qu'il a fait une course Top!
Le solde totale de points de rating de chaque course est toujours zéro. Donc, pour avoir des gens que gagnent du rating, il faut avoir des gens qui le perdent. Le rating n'est pas un prix de participation, mais un classement de joueurs similaire à celui des échecs ou du tennis.
Quand tu finis proche de ta position "attendue" en fonction de ton rating, il bouge peu. Tout le monde commence avec rating 1500. La somme de points de rating de tous les joueurs est égale toujours au numéro total de joueurs fois 1500. Si pour qu'uns gagnent du rating, d'autres vont les perdre, tu arrives à un point où ton rating doit plafonner autour de ton vrai valeur comme joueur. Avant de te frustrer, pense au mec qui est au top du rating, qui ne gagne toujours que des miettes en gagnant et que perd du rating toujours qu'il ne gagne pas!
Je comprends, mais c'est quand même trop de points de perdu je trouve, tu vas gagné 1.5 rating sur une course et a la prochaine tu en perd 30 alors que tu roule propre et que tu respecte les autres pilotes, après c'est mon avis, ça serais l'inverse je comprendrais mieux, après le soucis c'est que les pilotes vont en avoir marre et finir par mettre en l'air les courses et c'est bien dommage...

The system has to work this way to enable balanced matchmaking in the future. Say player 1 does 5 races, wins them all and wins 30 points a race, that is 150 points. Player 2 finishes 10th in 150 races and gets 1 point per race then he also has 150 points just from grinding out finishes. Would it be a good race if they were together in the same room? Only if the first player was racing against shills and the second was being beaten by 9 aliens, but that is unlikely to happen in 150 races! If the amount you got was fixed, like in F1 championship points, then people who care about rating would camp in rookie or low level rooms to farm points. There has to be a risk element of losing a lot of points. Now I think about it, in F1 it would be much more interesting if Hamilton/Mercedes got less points for winning due to past achievements! Think of it like betting odds, if you are the favourite due to past results then you are expected to win or place but if a noob comes along but is faster or you have an accident then you are going to lose a lot of points and the noob is going to win them as deserved. If you win again in the next race then you will recover some but not all the points - unless you too win against much better ranked competition.
Is there a reason the game is only keeping record of our last 100 races? I previously asked for a badge or achievement record of our more difficult races (the ranked weekly enduro). Im bringing it up again because our records seem to disappear after 100 races.
I have one question regarding the A B C (blue, yellow, red) Ranking. Does exist any more information about how it works? When I'm in leaderboard modus I see some people having that and others don't. I play ranked multiplayer since 3 days (so much fun) have about 15 races and don't have that rating yet.
I think Leaderboard (single player hotlaping and competition entries) ranking is different to Multiplayer ranking
