We did the 2hr endurance race last night, and at least 4 drivers running in the Skylines were hitting a "pothole" at the bottom of Paddock Hill, there is no real evidence of track damage (like a sinkhole in the track). This destroyed one car and another had 50% suspension damage after a hit. Is this an issue with the meshing of the track? or just a bad combo of suspension and vertical load.
Were you running GT4s? I'm not sure there's a pothole (I don't know) but I have found that running a little wide onto the kerbs in the BMW GT4 does terminal damage to the suspension. I just assumed it was the lateral (vertical?) loads in what is a fairly fast corner being such that eventually - consistently around lap 8 for me - the suspension gives way completely. I just took the lesson as being to keep off those kerbs!! Would be interested to learn if it is the kerbs (as I assumed) or something more sinister...
Seeing the lines taken by the cars seems to be the kerb is in play, but there is a crooked line on the track in the texture.
Just to inform, issue also exists at Brands Hatch Indy. Date 19.07.2021 If proof needed, it can be seen here at 4:40, watch for 2 cars ahead, light blue/orange stripe "F. Ückert". &t=280
sorry didnt mentiion earlier ; its in the bug tracker please remember its holiday period of the year Andi
