Rtx 3090 driver issue black screen no signal

This is old news for rtx 3090 owners. I just want to know what driver works for this GPU? Nvidia sucks atm. ? The latest drivers are broken.

I did a massive upgrade, triple 32 inch 144hz 1440p plus Gpu 3090 top of the range and no fu$/ing use. Very dissapointed.

Any suggestions?

 

461.72 works fine for me. If there's only stuff in the driver's changelog for games I don't play I don't update it.

 

I think i tried one driver ending with .72 but not sure i it was 461? I will double check.

 

Your thread makes me nervous.
Okay, only using a 3080 here, but using every single driver since release and never had a problem with one of them.

Are those both cards so different or is the problem probably another one on your side having those?

The 3080 and 3090 are very similar, the only real difference is the additional VRAM on the back of the 3090. Even custom water cooler from brands like Alphacool fits on both cards.

I have a 3090 since October 2020 and had not a single issue with the GPU drivers. All games and programs runs with the advertised performance. I had no black screens. The only annoyance was pretty fierce coil whine but that was gone after slapping a water cooler on the card.

 

@Turtle Power any updates so far? The latest driver 466.47 works without problems for me.

the problem is the GPU (RTX card).

I changed it and did not have the problem anymore. I switched from a RTX 3090 Gigabyte to an Asus RTX 3090 and the problem was gone.

Please translate my issue in english if you want to read more:

Meine Leidensgeschichte:

1. Habe eine wassergekühlte RTX 3090 von Gigabyte eingebaut.

2. Beim Spielen wurde plötzlich mein Bildschirm schwarz (manchmal direkt im Charakter Editor wie z.B. bei Cyberpunk, manchmal aber auch nach 3 - 4 MInuten im Spiel oder nach 1 bis 2 Stunden spielen)

3. Ich hörte noch den Sound im Hintergrund, lediglich mein Bildschirm wurde schwarz. STRG + ALT + ENTFERNEN ging leider dennoch nicht, von daher war ich jedesmal gewzungen den PC komplett auszuschalten und wieder einzuschalten.



Lösung: Da meine Karte und mein komplettes System wassergekühlt sind, ist ein Austausch der Grafikkarte ein absoluter Alptraum! Ich war mir dennoch sicher, dass es an der Karte liegt und siehe da: Ich habe die Gigabyte Karte gegen eine Asus ausgetauscht und danach waren alle Probleme weg.



Tauscht eure RTX aus Leute. Es liegt nicht am Netzteil oder sonst was.
