That is real news , i dont think you will get a date as such , im sure the devs have a date in there minds , and that date as we all know is about as solid as a political promise ... We keep testing until we cant seem to break it , then we will release it Andi
I'm also checking everyday for any news regarding the FFB update. Although I am beyond excited for it, I am glad to hear it is being thoroughly vetted and tested prior to release. After all, and as the saying goes, you only get one shot at a first impression.
Game changing updates aren't planned/made during esports series. There are planned breaks in esports to allows for bigger updates. One of those breaks starts sometime next week and ends in the beginning of July. So, if it doesn't come in June, it will probably come with the next break, which is I don't know when. Now stop asking "when?" and start distracting Andi so he doesn't break it.
Good thing that you guys are hard at testing. I think WE users will be able to give you pretty solid feedback regarding the bugs after the release. No matter how long developers or beta testers fiddle with it, there is always something that cannot be detected. I wish I could get the link to RR pre released new update and give it a go. I am sure it is not possible unless I am a beta tester. No dramas, will wait for the official release. Cheers
So thats what Elmo is doing. He's reacting to the new FFB. That makes sense cause, I always wondered why Elmo looked like the Cookie Monster after a fresh batch of Chocolate chip cookies. LOL
To me FFB or say overall feeling went a notch up when I teweaked the rcs file adding road bumps but in terms of car dynamics or steering feel that’s following the advice to bring steering rack to zero that provided a huge improvement across the board of cars so I really hope the new FFB won’t break all that and also give users the possibility to tweak things here and there
I did the same. Without rcs file I would never get to where I am today in terms for FFB and I love it. According to the recent comments, the devs are trying to get things simplified and available without tweaking the rcs file. I am guessing you will still be able to access rcs file for whatever reason but if the user interface can offer everything you need then it will be even better.
Actually AFAIK, the plan is to simplify the FFB setup and to tweaking in files. You'll basically get something like min force, max force and linearity. Additionally some sliders for effects like bump amplification. Look at Chris Haye's video.
All those tweaks no longer work with new ffb. The RCS is simplified massively and all adjustments are done through the UI.
Thank you Not speaking for myself because I did the tweaking already but why did you remove your post about bumps while the new FFB is still not here and we have no visibility of a release date no? now if the new FFB comes today then of course forget my question
Because if I didn't do it now I'd forget. I don't know when the patch will land. Before the end of the month is as much as anyone knows.
