Why am I having a throttle problem in racing...my BMW M215i seems to hiccup...like my pedal cuts out...but this ONLY happens in racing...it's very annoying and affects performance...please help and thanks... sorry for my bad english
Thanks for the answers...my hardware is very weak...i5 8gb ram and gth 760 2gb...no assists..TC on 40%..and the same thing happens in longer practice sessions... I'm currently MP on Red Bull Ring... I'm sure it's not happened before just last week...thanks ravey1981 i will give it a try...will try reinstalling the game
Have you had a look at the input meter to see if it could actually just be your throttle cutting out?
dont reinstall the game, you can verify files via steam, not to mention- config files are stored in my documents and reinstalling the game wouldnt after them
Thanks guys for your time and answers... on the input meter everything is ok... I already tried verify files via steam and it didn't help
try rebinding throttle if that wont help then back up and delete simbin folder in my documents->my games if that wont help then try deadzone thingy
Just thinking out loud, could it be some kind of power fluctuation to the usb port, so that the throttle momentarily stops registering? Is your psu sufficient? I'm thinking on the lines of - More cars on track = makes r3e more demanding on gpu, taking power to its limit. Try a race with very low graphics detail as a test. Also, try plugging pedals into a different usb slot. Also, in windows power options, you could make sure usb is set to never switch off, and make sure power is at highest performance, not power saving. It may be nothing to do with these but all of them cost nothing and help to eliminate possibilities.
Try plugging in another device like a keyboard or pad to make sure it´s a controller not a game issue.
Not useful , needs input meter on screen , go tokey bindings , bind a key for the input meter , and redo a video ... thanks Andi
I have the same issue since installing my vnm shifter. For this I plugged in my fanatec clubsupport V3 pedals into another usb port. The input meter shows indeed that the throttle is cutting off completely and then coming back again like there is a connection issue. Don't have this issue with AMS2, no other sims tried. I won't have time this weekend to check other things (like adding a deadzone) but will do on Monday evening and post here
Fanatec pedals are well known for also needing an upper deadzone. Sometimes the can go past the calibration point and effectively then read zero.
