We kindly ask for your assistance in reporting odd AI behaviour. There are around 200 cars and 100 track layouts, making for some great amount of combinations possible. During your gameplay time, should you encounter AI trouble, please help us by reporting the following information: AI prone to accidents: The car class (AI selection) The track layout The AI Strength setting AI pace is a little off: The car class (AI selection) The track layout The AI Strength setting Your qualifying time versus AI qualifying time Your race best lap versus AI pace Description of how AI pace is off (slow in fast sections? fast in straights? etc) If we can keep this thread mostly clean from chat it will help us loads Thanks everyone Andi
AI is getting updates pretty much all the time in the background and will get passed onto the game once tested ,but it really helps if you can feedback once again thanks Andi
AI pace is a little off: AI lvl 98 1.3sec off slowest AI even after 40 laps. Constantly causing a train behind it and other shenanigans I watched it for a lap or so but couldn't pin point the exact area it was lacking though to be fair I was not looking for it. EDIT: Track Falkenberg GP
Here are some things you could have a look at. All of them have been tested with 95 % difficulty AI pace is a little off: Red Bull Ring with GTR4 class: AIs are blistering fast between turns 6 to 10 and I can't match them. This might happen as well with any other class. Salzburgring with GT3R The AI pace could be tweaked on this course since it hasnt changed at all: The AIs are flying through turn 11 where I can never match them. Although I can set a fastest lap of the race within the 1:18 zone, the AIs are chewing me in both sector 2 & 3. The way the AIs take turn 11 can be compared to how a high speed train takes a cornered railway.
AI prone to accidents: The car class (AI selection)TCR & Gt3 The track layout: Portimao GP The AI Strength setting: 100% After turn 3 (lagos) they often loose the car. Sometimes they can recover, others they end up spinning and stop in the middle of the track
AI prone to accidents: The car class (AI selection): Formula JR The track layout: Portimao Club Chicane The AI Strength setting: 100% In the chicane (2nd corner) they can run wide and miss the apex. Recovery manoeuvres are not always successful, and they wind up bending and stopping in the middle of the track. Very similar to the situation described in the previous post.
AI pace is a little off: The car class (AI selection): DTM 2023 The track layout: Oschersleben - Full layout The AI Strength setting: 94 Your qualifying time versus AI qualifying time: N/A Your race best lap versus AI pace: 1:30 vs. 1:30 Description of how AI pace is off (slow in fast sections? fast in straights? etc): So the pace match is really good on this - when it's only me and 1 AI in practice mode - which I do to gauge the level I need for the track - it's spot-on. However, add a full DTM 2023 grid, and I catch them by 6-8 seconds a lap, I think they just keep getting into awkward positions or crash with each other (see below), and they lose a ton of pace. Also, they are faster than me through all the fast corners, and much slower into heavy braking zones - T1, T4 are where they are really slow under braking. Wouldn't mind if I had to reduce the difficulty at all to match them in the fast corners, but then it needs to be balanced with them being a lot faster and later under braking, and through the slow corners. AI prone to accidents: The car class (AI selection): DTM 2023 The track layout: Oscherschleben - Full Layout The AI Strength setting: 94 Especially when they're bunched up. After T2(3?), and into the fast chicane mainly. It really hampers their race.
AI pace is too quick Silhouettes Donington GP (I guess National too) The AI Strength setting: 95% Your qualifying time versus AI qualifying time: AI 1.32.5 vs me 1:34 Your race best lap versus AI pace: can't get to the race, too frustrated Description of how AI pace is off (slow in fast sections? fast in straights? etc) AI has unrealistic pace around McLean and Coppice, also in other sections seems to quick for 95% The random AI means single player is completely unplayable now, I am halfway through a championship and god knows when I will be able to finish that.
fixing a championship that was started before the update wont be possible but we will check if ai are doing impossible corner speeds if you started at 95 . id try at around 90 Andi
AI pace is very much off: Silhouette Series Silverstone National The AI Strength setting: 95% Your qualifying time versus AI qualifying time: AI 56.5 vs me 57.0 Your race best lap versus AI pace: can't get to the race, too frustrated Description of how AI pace is off: AI is unrealistically quick at first corner (Copse), consider that Sector 1 is made up only by that one corner and the quickest AI gain 1 full second over me LOL. Then AI is a bit too slow in the turn 2 complex, and very slow in the last sector (losing about 0.5 seconds there). So although the final laptime evens out, it's an unpleasant yo-yo between pain and boredom. Also, once the session ended I got the good old "Error 1" crash (with image of broken car), that I hadn't had in months.
AI pace is off: Silhouette Series Portimao GP The AI Strength setting: 95% Your qualifying time versus AI qualifying time: AI 1.47.5 vs me 1.49.0 Your race best lap versus AI pace: can't get to the race, too frustrated Description of how AI pace is off: AI is comically overpowered in the last corner, although I take it flat out following the same line as them, somehow they magically gain a margin of about 200 metres throughout the last corner and on the straight You had the best AI in simracing........and you screwed it....hope this helps
AI prone to accidents: The car class (AI selection): WTCR22 The track layout: Monza (full), Nurburgring (any), Spa The AI Strength setting: 102-103% (manually set, usually one of those two) Both on Monza and Nurb T1 there can be frequent accidents among AI cars, right on race start. During a race, at Monza it's very common for AI to brake too late and overshoot T1, specially when following player car/adversary and then trying to outbreak from the inside, often resulting in ramming; also when followed up close can overshoot trying to defend. On Spa they crash a lot on T17/Blanchimont corner exit resulting on a pile, often right at first lap when field is dense. Any of these already happened before new tyre model for a long time.
AI prone to accidents: The car class (AI selection): TC Cup & WTCR The track layout: Watkins Glen Short w/Inner Loop The AI Strength setting: 100% They seem to pull off very fast lap times out of nowhere even on cold tyres (1:14 training; 1:12 Q) but I'm not a quick driver, so I can't say for sure (my pace is 1:17.200). However, the AI has a true problem in the inner loop. They late brake so much there, and if they are on your six they'll slam on your rear no matter what. When In race there are no laps without a yellow flag on that area, with cars bended all over the place. Also, they seem to missjudge entry speed on corner 10 and offtracks are frequent there.
KI macht keinen PitStop bzw. hat keinen Reifenverschleiß habe das getestet. DTM 2023, Imola, Renndauer 45 min, Reifenverschleiß 4x. Pflichtboxenstop Aus. Ki fährt voll durch ohne Reifenwechsel.
How much tire wear did you have? Since the update tires in gt3 last a lot longer than before, maybe a pit stop just wasnt needed yet
No i meant how worn your tires got before you pitted. Were they already down to say 30% after 20-25 minutes or were they still around 50% or even better?
Hi. AI never have cold tyres. It's a limitation at the moment. Basically AI will always have optimal tyre temperature, which does make them quicker when the player has cold tyres.
