something that i think would be easy to implement, yet immensely useful, is the ability to post a message or "write on the wall" of another user. I say this because often times you share a fantastic race with someone in a public race (Mr. Thomas, thanks), yes after what seems like 5 seconds of chat time after race, all communication is cut off. Can it be so hard to allow ascii text to another user? I understand the potential for abuse, so any user should be able to delete messages or posts, and turn the feature off as well. I think this would help to make the community even better around here, which is a big piece of the pie in making a racing game attractive. and crossfire would be nice too .
also a ability to do this in the server ie right click (alt click for those without two buttons) their name in the menu and a context menu pops up with options such as "Message", Friend request and "ignore".
Seeing the stuff some people write in the in-game chat I have my doubts... Maybe we should introduce a driver rating based on something like this:
Yes this is definitely an issue to consider - nut jobs posting all sorts of garbage. This is why we would need the option to turn off.
Dota 2 format would be perfect for in game chat/voice chat, ban, report, commend, adding friends and spamming GG at the end of the race.
Yup, same as in CS:GO, the dota format. Valve has it down pretty well I think. I'd love to see a commend, post on wall (and delete posted messages) features. Would really improve to the community-feel
