Like Phil Collins who had a very unique style as well (with Brand X and "old" Genesis)

I love Carter Beauford and Gene Hoglan for their unique open-handed styles too. not my favorite music, but when they play i just can't take my eyes off them.

If we talk about drums, this guy here is more than a legend already - his dynamics and defined, creative play is second to none - really brings me to tears (of joy) :) - had the chance to see him with Al diMeola long time ago :
    Back in the eighties :

Powerful stuff right there, thanks guys.

In response to my own last post, I want to share this video as I find it quite astounding how different the emotions music awakes can be when it's combined with different visuals (and mixed with some V12 roar ;) )

Really liked the song reference by Clarkson.

That Roxanne version reminded me of the best version I know, from the live album Sting recorded on 9/11:

    "She did anyway" :D
The whole album is amazing, very special vibe.

Regarding drummers, I've always been on the jazz side of town, so my favourite is probably Pete York. Couldn't believe when he sided with Helge Schneider a couple years ago and was lucky enough to see them together live:

Sure it's a lota showing off, but he's a great drummer and a good entertainer, even when loosing a stick. :)

As Helge is such a unique comedian I always forgot that he is such a great musician as well, not to mention ol' Pete ;)
Here 's another Drum Professor you might like Christian, extraordinary soloist btw.(and fantastic sound) :

He does indeed have an amazing sound, and a very...how to say...diversified style. Could see him performing in all sorts of bands, from jazz over marching bands right into rock. Thanks.

Yeah, Helge has such outstanding musical talent, plays like 14 instruments. Love the guy and his humour.

Es geht viel schlimmer, aber zum Glück gibts Untertitel (there's much worse, fortunately there's subtitles):

    Ein Zugroasta.

Pretty much everything from Type O Negative is terrific! The band had a unique and awesome sound and perhaps one of the most versatile singers in metal music of all time (RIP Peter Steele :().

One of their most widely known tracks here (short MTV version, though).

@Christian: was für ne Sch... :D wenn der Prophet diesen Moslem sieht, oh oh... ;)

@all: I 'm a big fan of synthpop music over many years... From Sweden comes the best music of this division.
Many years ago it was ABBA... ;)
Here are a few bands who accompany me for years . music with melancholy and fun . Take a look at any video , maybe you like it .
    Music is an emotion!!!

From Sweden is only good . I love the country , the language and the music . :D

These are a few of my favorite "Nu Jazz" songs by young Jaga Jazzist from their beginnings, absolutely mesmerizing stuff - and not only for Fans of Jazz....Yo might wonder why the audience isn't moving much - tho I'm pretty sure they're blown away by that sound - like me....;)
