Oh right, Viper Racing. Totally forgot about that one. That thing had very good physics for the time too. Didnt do any serious racing with it, but often raced against a few community friends. Was great fun.
started on Xbox and played a lot of motoGP, motoGP 2, and rallycross challenge. moved to pc F1 challenge 99-02 and papyrus Nascar with a momo wheel. been hooked ever since.
I have been playing racing games as long as I can remember... Can´t remember them all but, here´s a few... Sportscar 1 & 2 Gran Turismo 1-4 Moto GP 1 & 2 Formula 1 99-02 GTL GTR 2 Race 07 R3E
Omg yes yes .. I remember this. That game was awesome .. That's it I am going back to my old cd booklet and I'll dig that one out. Might need to run some dos box but I don't care !!!
ATARI 1988 - Hard Drivin’ 4 Speed manual transmission, force feedback and clutch… It was a really amazing game for me. And now, I’m on R3E and waiting for the Nordschleife.
Although Race07 is the game that got me into "sim" racing the game that started it all was in the arcade. This was before C64 and Magnavox Odyssey. My dad use to hand me a bunch of quarters and I went straight to it just like a magnet. It took more quarters from me than any slot machine in Vegas. Now how many of my fellow geriatrics remember or played this as well?? There's an article to go with the picture but this is the exact model we had at our arcade. Ahh, memories. http://www.rotheblog.com/2008/10/arcade/crazy-arcade-game-of-the-day-night-driver-cockpit/
