Hi Jos, I doubt it's your hair color. Let me see if I can help clarify.

You must enter the keyboard letter (or number) you have used in the game's button mappings to PowerGrid's function shortcut box.
So, let's say you want to use my Brake Bias button in PowerGrid. Look at your keyboard button mappings (in game) and see what letter you have that set to (or the letter that is the default setting if you don't change them). Obviously we all set them to what suits us so my key assignments and yours will not match.
Ok... so let's say you have assigned Brake Bias to the letter "B" in RaceRoom.
When you pick the Brake Bias button in PowerGrid you then enter that letter "B" in the Function: Shortcut box
PowerGrid is simply acting like a keyboard. You pick graphical buttons and assign each a letter/number. When you push that button in PowerGrid it tells the computer the key you have entered.
Without entering a shortcut you will push the button and nothing will happen because you have no command present for it to execute.
    Make more sense now?
    Bailey

Hi would you care to share the style you used for this? I'm looking for a button box but for a Windows tablet. Thanks!

You change the Grid Selection button by clicking on the Tools Icon, then under Tab Settings, direct it to the .jpg/.png file you want shown.
If you have a graphic you want to use and simply need to turn it (so it's landscape), open that graphic in Paint, Rotate Right 90* and save it. That can of course be done with any buttons/graphics made for Power Grid so that you can have either Landscape (the only kind of grids I make) or the normal portrait mode.

You can click on the button you want to remove, hold the left click down and drag it to the delete symbol... box with X.
Don't just click on the delete box as it will delete your entire grid, simply drag the unwanted button over top it.

You're right... with the call button you can request the pitstop, and with the On/Off button you can show/hide the pit menu!
