You're right, but the gpu is quite hungry (all AMD gpus are, compared to nvidia) and you have to account for (hard)drives, fans, USB devices etc. There are psu calculator websites where you can enter your setup and they'll calculate what you need but with this cpu-gpu combo it will be at least 300W load output.
I think that i will save money with the hard drive. 1_ i can use 2"5 hard drives that i already have 2_ i can save money by using a 120 Go SSD only for 47 euros Perhaps i will be able to reach the 550 euros with the PSU by saving money there and there. lol
This one is not expensiv. http://www.cdiscount.com/informatiq...idOffre=11645305?idOffre=11645305#mpos=132|mp
Yep, that case takes atx psu's. I'd be careful with very cheap psu's. They tend to have low quality coils built in which can be prone to coil whine. If possible try to get one with a 80plus bronze certificate.
I know, and you can get lucky with a cheap one. But I've had two bad ones in a row in the past so I'm careful and rather pay the extra quid. Sorry, I just now realized that that MSI board is formfactor ATX and the case is micro ATX... So it probably won't fit in that case, my bad. Are you bound to that case?
Yes i find it nice. I checked and it can use ATX psu. So i think i have the whole package. I will check all the prices and put my order this evening.
Hmm, sorry again, totally ignored that formfactor... I only found one microATX mainboard that supports high frequency RAM like you want to use: The ASRock 970M Pro3 AMD 970. It's on sale at a store here, going for 62 €'s. This one: http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/970M Pro3/ So just to be sure, don't buy that MSI board if you're going for that case, it won't fit. If you want to use that fast RAM (which I'm totally in support of ) get the one above.
I bought for 170 euros this graphic card : http://www.cdiscount.com/informatiq...80-4go-ddr5/f-10767-112421320g.html#mpos=2|cd It is used but never used. ;o) By the way , i just discovered with the crimson driver on my laptop that there is a tool that records and make videos of your screen automatically. I hope that i will get it with this card too.
Same here I have an 8 years old pc tower and I only changed the RAM and the graphic card My specs are A very old motherboard A cuad core2 Q6600 Nvidia GF GT 630 2GB 4GB RAM instaled but only 2.92GB avaible because of the motherbard
Ohh, the tension. Once you've got it wired and plugged, let us know how you like R3E in all its visual glory.
