Agreed, it's the bee's knees. Off topic, but here's a video I made last night of the totally awesome Escort Mk1 at Brands, probably the most enjoyable off-line race I've had in some time.
Heck, by Raceroom's price model, you would pay 5,50 for the Brands Hatch by Kunos and then 2,50 for 8 cars (with dozens of skins) - which all eight are very, very well-done, I now can say. You refuse Brands Hatch for just 2,50...? Think again. DP3 is a very strong packag, all 8 cars have their reason and none of them is a "loss". Nice mixture they did there. The escort 1 and Lotus-25 alone are worth it, then the Gallardo...
The problem for me is, the game this DLC is running on isn't particularly strong...in my opinion of course. Why spend more money on a game that has some show-stopping issues (again, in my opinion)? So yes, I will refuse it right now. Anyway don't want to get into repeated AC chat here. Not the place for it.
Call me foolish but I keep buying content for games that I rarely use now (eg AC and pCARS) in the hope that the developers will use at least some of the $ to eventually turn the games into something I want to play. Similarly, despite my negativity towards the store and the always online SP bollox, I keep buying content for R3E to compensate the devs and help them push R3E towards feature completeness. The trouble is that Raceroom take it as an endorsement of their business model. Musings aside, I grabbed the TT pack and it's very very well done. The cars look sound and feel great and I've had plenty of great door to door stoushes with the improved AI on a variety of tracks. I'll doubtless pick up Chang tonight and provided the servers let me I hope to have a few good SP TT races on it too.
I haven't checked if the animations are still the same or if they're new or, if not, will there gonna be an update for them as well in the future? (headbanging, middle fingers, puking cause of high G-FORCE... you know regular stuff)
so this thread went from the usual "MsportDan "boat" "floatiness"" of all cars. and the usual promotion of AC by Skybird there was even some fish slapping around ( very funny ) not sure how it came to this again.... On topic i am excited for this release. Pretty much everyone who bought it seem to enjoy it. Good work S3 and keep up at making fun cars for this community to enjoy.
i tend to find they look awkward. i think with most racing car drivers never switch hands anyway so 900 probably isn't that important. dtm, open wheelers and gt3 drivers rarely or never turn the wheel past the 180 point even when catching slides.
the problem is they cant predict how much you will turn the wheel to figure out if you are going to turn it so far that you need to do a cross. they can do what they have or they can do the ac way which annoys me cause my driver waves his hand around when he doesn't need to.
Same here. I remember when I played Gran Turismo people often complained that the drivers arms only went 90 degrees and not the full rotation. Then I come to PC land and see how awkward and distracting it is when the arms do the full rotation, looks like the driver is having a seizure or whipping his nae nae. Thank goodness I can turn that off!
To be honest, I didn't buy the TT Cup (yet), I just saw some videos in the last few days, and I noticed something (I'm not sure if it mentioned already or not). I noticed that the dashboard's screen isn't the same as the real one's. Here's the 'original' TT Cup's dashboard: Later on, will you fix this? I know it's the biggest problem right now, and it's playable with the current screen as well, but you know...this one looks a little bit better.
