Haven't you read the first post? No bigger grids in multiplayer till it was tested with that one session hosted by S3S.
J-F said it was the aim for later in the year in the ISR interview, but that was a very loose aim, certainly not set in stone.
Bigger grids is a precursor to single player multi class racing. That's where this feature will have the most value. Of course, some people don't mind running with duplicate AI drivers and that's their choice, but I will only use bigger grids for those classes that can utilise it and for multi class when it arrives. At present the only classes that offer enough models and liveries to exceed the 24 car limit are GTR3 and (I think) GTR2. (Edit - group 5 too?)
There are quite a few classes that offers more than 24 cars. The bigger ones in addition to GTR3 and GTR2 are the Touring Classics with 39 cars and Group 5 has even 44 cars.
thank god its only 99 car you can drive against, imagine it would have been 100, thats hell a lot and would be totally crazy. With some new liveries in the pipe line (including the KW/beltech liveries) and the exsiting ones, it could barely fit that there is no repetion in GT3 class. Of cause, choosing the GTO class would be surely monotonous.
Really looking forward to this feature, One request for the future though, In championship mode, would it not be possible to just "ignore" X amount of cars when loading a track with a smaller pit lane? for example (Using DTM 92 with 25 unique cars/liveries), R1.) Spa - 24 AI R2.) Norisring - 23 AI (Ignore 1x BMW E30) R3.) Brands Indy - 24 AI Would be extra nice to be able to choose which car/s are Ignored or even better would be something like a built in "classes" line from the GTR2 .car file, so you could choose exactly what cars are at each individual round of a championship. I only ask because currently it means either 1.) Never having a full grid of cars in a championship simply because of one track or 2.) Not using that track at all just to keep the grid numbers at max capacity at the rest of the circuits. But otherwise really looking forward to this along with the rest of the patch and content updates, keep up the great work, its very much appreciated.
