Good spot - I can see the red HTP Bentley in there too, can anyone spot the black one? All the others look like the various white HTP and M-Sport variations to me (although didn't actually see the M-Sport ones, will look a bit closer on a full screen)

About the feature, excellent! This is the first step to making this the ideal offline game for me, just need that AI selector now (and an AI editor and custom liveries and ... and ... )!

Spa, Bathurst and Nurburgring are perfect tracks for GT racing, and larger grids are essential for recreating the Modern GT scene better, so this is a highlight of this next patch.

If you'd be able to give us maximum numbers for a few other tracks it would be greatly appreciated. Bathurst and Suzuka, for example.

    Fee more questions actually:

Will pits work like rFactor and GTR2 where spaces are shared between multiple cars?

Does booking a slot still apply? (I'm not sure if this is actually the case with the game now for pit stops - are there 24 or 12 spots at each track now?)

would have preferred multiclass with existing gridsize first, just to get more diverse action. But curious to see how AI does in lapping each other with large grid (blue flags next please)

Somewhere was mentioned that there is a blue-flag-logic implemented for the AI with the next Update. We don't see a blue flag visually but the AI knows that it is being lapped and in addition it stays on the side of the track after leaving the pits and a faster cars comes from behind.

@Robert Holm (bless him) not only did bigger grids but also took care of blue flag logic for AI's. If you're lapping a car, it should not fight for position. Flags for players, that'll be for later as it involves UI and that's usually a bit of a bottleneck.

Well that's how it works irl. During 24h/VLN events at Nürburgring up to 7 cars share one pit spot.

Slightly off topic... is there any plan to bring an "add AI" function to the MP races in the near future?

Instead of time lapse, maybe old school way of saving game-state and resume, even for multiplayer. Could swap out the daytime state of the map, too (think first gtr had that).

Hard part is handing over game control mid corner... Maybe let people start from grid but with some logic that keeps the time Deltas somehow. Or well just rally style suming of time Deltas over n races...

99 cars, really ? What for? Please educate me, Is there a race series that runs that many cars on on the grid ? There may be some double stacking issues going on in the pits. I appreciate the added feature to run bigger grids and no doubt i will use it to my systems potential. I will be happy if my system can run 30 -40 cars without having to compromise detail.
Anyhow i don't want this to sound like a negative post, i appreciate and anticipate all S3's hard work. I will be curious to see if there are any systems out there that can actually run these massive grids. Next POLL, How many cars do you run on the grid in SP. o_O

There were 153 starters in last years 24h Nürburgring race, 66 in Spa 24h.
It's really for multiclass endurance races, that's where big grids will shine.
And double stacking in the pits is what happens irl as well. During the 24h Nürb race there are 33 boxes those 153 teams have to share: http://www.24h-rennen.de/uploads/media/ADAC_Zurich_24-rennen_Starterliste_2015.pdf
