Are we getting close to a release soon? I do feel the urge to give this a good thrashing at NS. The IRL VLN series has already begun.
Yes, every day we get closer. However, I would expect its release after the F4, Bentley, Formula Jr, ADAC 2015 and GTO cars, seeing as they're in the game files already and I don't believe the Audi is. Maybe it's being saved for a VLN pack with the 235 BMW and a couple of others?
The TT RS VLN was in the hands of Jürgen Wohlfarth and we got feedback we're now adjusting to. It's not yet ready for release but should be most likely end of april after a good bashing in beta.
@J-F Chardon , as I read, Jürgen Wohlfarth made 10. place at 6h ADAC Ruhr-Pokal-Rennen in 2011 with Raeder Motorsport Audi TT RS in VLN. So he knows the car very well and for sure he's the right one to clear. Somewhere around here I also read, Bentley is also to approval at KW. Is every car in R3E checked this way before release? I try to get a driver to confirm when able. Our approach is only to have volunteer drivers, though. Some ask to be paid to say nice things, which isn't what we want. For the Bentley, we went with data we had and couldn't get a driver in time. But we'll have [better left undisclosed for now] to drive it as soon as he's able, and even if post release, we will indeed adjust according to feedback.
As soon as we can yes. Strictly from a content perspective, on the menu of that update will be the group 5 physics revision, the TT RS VLN, and the Ford Mustang moved from American Nationals to GTR3 class.

@J-F Chardon Since we are on topic of Group 5. Would you consider adding/moving BMW M1 to the roster? Of course after equiping it with turbocharger
That one is a dilemma, the 3d model we have isn't correct for group5. But yeah, that's a possibility. If you guys want it.
Off Topic but with talk of an update would someone please look at the data being output to motion systems ? Motion is fantastic in R3E I have 2DOF system but huge problem with no cue being sent to turn off motion for replays or when in pits and watching other cars on the monitor. The motion should be switched off in-game at those times but is very strong and makes using that great feature impossible.
I dont know. But for the one side yes (more cars in the class)but the other side no(great cup car). I love the M1 to drive.

The problem is, M1 Procar did raced as a single cup back then. What we have in the game right now is authentic where I am not a fan of adding M1 Procar into Group 5 as that model isnt even made for Group 5. It was made for the defunct Group 4. Likewise, I am not a fan of putting all the GTR2 with GTR1 because it makes no sense in terms of regulations. If GTR2 needs to be merged into a class, I rather see those cars in GTR3 because GT2 and GT3 regulations are a lot closer to each other than GT1 that are a lot faster. Many games did put GT2s with GT3s which I dont mind if that happens. GT1s racing with GT2 feels really odd to me.
JF, thank you for your explanation. I just got the impression, there might be a kind of obligatory acceptance test by KW. I'm enjoying every minute in R3E.
