Good for you, glad you got it working. But, so, yeah: care to share now ? After all, this is the "Community Support" part of the forum, your solution could be of use to other people experiencing the same issues, not to mention the S3S dev team ;)

I don't see how one can fix this...but what do I know, lol. It seems to be a combination of individual network issues and the way R3e dedi servers handle network issues.

BUT as I said, what do I know :)

lol, i should have do this for a long time ! ;)

Well, guys, you're gonna be desappointed

Just watch reply #33 on this topics ... Funny isn't it ?!? but it was the answer.

so what's now the combo for me : ipv4/-cefNoGPU/launch steam and RRRE as an admin/launch and login in game.raceroom.com (not sure it's necessery, but i did it all the time) = As written up above
+ ... and this is the way i found to play RRRE online WITHOUT PING 0 EVERY TIME, ON EVERY SERVERS = on the graphics setup ingame, JUST PUSH "AUTO".

    That's all folk !!!! ... :confused::confused::confused:, nothing else

i really don't know why graphics config can help on network issues, but for me it works very well now ; befor this, i really wasn't able to play on line.

So, if it can help some one of you or S3 to make it better...

"... maybe try turning all the ingame graphic to their lowest settings and see what happens" ... that's what finaly i done ... but with A 970GTX, it was "hard" to put it on 'low', so i decided to adjust settings on 'auto' ...

Thanks Aribo for your work of testing.

I don't see how graphical options can act on the ping0 which is a problem pointing out a response time Client/Server too high.

I think it's a simple coincidence that it works for you for now.

To start the applications as an administrator ok but these are two things very different.

I think that S3 must work on a buffer memory or a higher tolerance during ping rise. That would allow to connections that suffer temporary instabilities to not be touched by the ping0.

S3 should also work on the elimination of the symptoms of ping0. When a player is in ping0 it lasts nearly the whole session. It takes a long time (between 10 minutes and 30 minutes, sometimes more than that) for the ping 0 to disappear. Very often it's not until the next session that everything gets back in order and sometimes it only takes a few minutes.

I have more than one Internet connection and more than one machine and all of them cause the same problems. Problems appear during fluctuations of internet speed. Fluctuations even weak ones are concerned. The game doesn't dispose of a good enough "tolerance" to keep the players concerned synchronized.

Come on mumble to discuss with me. ;-)

    --------------------------------------------------------

Do you guys have V-Sync on or off? I turned mine off and it seemed to help. I guess having it on can cause some sync issue with the server, causing the 0 ping.

I haven't run into any ping issue since then (I don't really race that much though) but it's worth a shot.

don't "lol"like that Chris ... imagine if you had always ping 0 in mp mod, you would try every thing to play on line ... so do i.
it's working back for me with this stupid action ... so, i would say "LOL" to RRRE and send a special dedicace to the S3 team as it's not be able since 1 year to solve this fucking problem. Congrats guys !!
stupid game, with stupid mp mod, stupid P2P ... better try to make the game work properly than always launching new dlcs

Aribo - any chance you are running on wifi? I only ask because i was myself, with a very fast connection, but had this issue often over wifi. Since going to hardwire I have not seen the issue once.

Either way, hope you get this solved soon. Good Luck.
