Same error here. Just installed Raceroom to give it a try before deciding whether to buy one of the DTM packages. Basically the crash happens x seconds after starting the game (haven't measured the x but maybe a minute or two?), regardless of where I am in the game. Login screen, options menu, doesn't matter, it crashes with the same error number. It doesn't matter what I am doing, or if the game is even the active window. I was creating an account in my browser and the game crashed in the background. I left it idle on another attempt and it crashed just the same.

 

exception code 0xC0000017 is an error you might get if the system page file on your PC has a fixed limit. If you have manually set a low limit on your system page file this error can occur. Go to windows system settings and check if you have a fixed limit. I know some users with SSD drives who set a fixed limit to save space on the drive, but it might also cause this kind of errors. Set the page file to be managed automaticly by windows and reboot your pc and it should start with about a 8 GB page file. Might be larger the more system ram is installed.

 

It would be very strange that suddenly everyone gets this problem due to that. For my part, it's nothing to do with it.

And since there were no updates since earlier today when everything was fine, chances are it's something bad fed by the server.

I would also avoid to leave this limit free, as it causes disk fragmentation; that might not be a problem for SSD, but it is a real one for actual disks.

 

I have been running this game with no page file fine since it was first released so don't believe it to be that.

* Just managed to complete a full race weekend. No changes my side so must be external error.

 

Looks like there was a patch last night.....all good now!!!!!!

 

I started having this error after purchasing Nordschleife (and a few other things). Can't even start a session without getting a crash.

 

Same here right now.
I did a few sessions in the Nords, but when I tried to go to Spa, with just crashes.
I managed to start in Portimão but crashed a few seconds later.
